Michelin’s avatar

Biography Michelin pioneered hip-hop and swing beat as a resident DJ at the Vat 69 discotheque in the 1980s. He also developed an interest in house music at the end of the 1980s, earning him a regular DJ night at Styx. As DJ Odi, he organized many parties with Uzi, and the highlight of his DJing career was the Veilinghal in Groningen (for 5,000 people). After his hardcore period, it was time to take a different path and start playing spanky tunes that everyone still remembers. As DJ Michelin, he continued his career in the trance scene and played at many parties both domestically and internationally. At Rockit in Leeuwarden, he once again had a regular DJ night on Fridays, inviting the top Dutch artists each week. His last major performance was Freeze 2008, marking his departure from Mouth of Madness, where he revisited the old classics. Michel is still the proud co-owner of Spanky Tunes, with an old formula in a new guise where quality is paramount. Michelin's style can be described as a mix of progressive and minimal techno.
