You can’t not be a weirdo as a good musician. MEZ is both. Based in Vienna/Austria the producer of Jewish descent has been making beats for years. It’s natural to him, like other people brush their teeth or eat cereals in the morning. Not a day at home has gone by without Mez blasting his stereo in his small but well equipped studio for his neighbors to go crazy. Yes, he uses a lot of deep bass. Throughout the years Mez has adapted refined beat making skills. His ear for sound nuances is merciless. Technic and innovation, or “je-ne-sais-quoi”, has created the perfect synergy. By the way, his artist name Mez is derived from the Hebrew word “Mezuian”, meaning “perfect”. His keyboard playing with its melancholic harmonization merges with his strong Dilla-esque beats that jump his mind. Layered to perfection, NuSoul goes Gangster! 2013 soul singer SOIA and Mez released their debut album “Mood swings” on record breakin’ (USA), and their next album “Hidden in Obvious Places” will be released in 2015.
