Dutch artist Jocid first started to become active in the dance music scene in early 1998 with dj'ing techhouse and acidtechno.Not being able to find the sounds he wanted to play, he decided to start to make his own music. He calls his psytrance music project "Jocid".In the year 2001 Doof released some Jocid tracks on various compilations of theirs, and then received such a positive response from them quickly signed Jocid up for a full-length album, which was released at the end of 2002. In 2003 Jocid started to work on his second album, called From Meatware to Hardware.His style changes to use fatter basslines, darker kicks, and a more full on style. Looking for a new label to present his newer sounds, Jocid approached Sonic Dragon Records, who heard his music and immediately agreed to release it to the world .This is the first release from Sonic Dragon Records, a label committed to bringing the newest sounds from the underground to the rest expansion, the second album came sortly ,called "Sonic-Addiction" It became a convincing album full of groove and strong beats. After a few compilation cd's and a co-op album"Blodder" Jocid tours for 1 month in Japan and Russia. Jocid returned to the source and refind his work and the studio exploration that remains on the whole cd, with very a snappy melodic intend. Jocid started to play live in Japan,Russia,Germany,Italy,Nederlands,Swiss and Israel.That is where he present the new crossover between dark and full-on trance music to the people around the world. Few years and more cd compilations later Jocid released 2 more albums ''The Machine'' and ''Jocid'' at Pixan Recordings.Nowadays Jocid is back, turning his studio in a high quality tool. Jocid's quality of sound has been a never ending story together with a good friend he decided to get deeper into the tools he uses and modificate the electronics to reach a cleaner and fatter sound. In 18 years time Jocid developed his unique and twisted psytrance sounds and he has many releases around the globe.
