Ntando Sithole-Clarke popularly known as JobieClarke is a Johannesburg based, classically trained afro-soul vocalist who grew up in KwaZulu-Natal and later went on to Rhodes University. Raised in a multi-racial home he has a rich and diverse musical background with influences ranging from jazz to traditional music. He is also a vocal coach, and has recently started his own school, JobieClarke Music. JobieClarke began formal musical training while still a student; His musical efforts around this time included participation in numerous choirs, some of which exposed him to international travel. Professionally he has performed at Jazz Festivals,with the EastCape opera theatre company. He has had the opportunity to work with the likes of Tony Bennett and Abdullah Ibrahim, among others. He has shared his music and gift at gigs in diverse spaces, from theatres to shebeens to jazz lounges. In his free time JobieClarke enjoys hosting dinners, visiting the theatre, travelling, dancing and spending time with his friends and family. He is passionate about social change, God and inspiring young people to fulfil their destiny. And to fulfil his own destiny, JobieClarke has adopted the attitude that one must refuse to stay a victim, reach for the impossible, and be brave enough to take that first step towards healing and destiny.
