Hurry up! by Iriy Records

On November 7, Kharkiv-born producer Monotronique returns with Hurry Up! — the first single from his forthcoming album Mr. Procrastinator, out later this year on Iriy Records.
Hurry Up! sets the tone for the whole record — a nervous, self-ironic reflection on creative paralysis, burnout, and the pressure to “finally finish that damn project.” Written under real-life deadlines and broken promises to deliver on time, the track captures the chaos of the modern attention span: part techno urgency, part existential scroll.
“Hurry Up! came out during one of those weeks when everything feels like too much and nothing moves. I was supposed to finish the album months ago, kept pushing it back, then suddenly there’s a deadline and you’re just sitting there scrolling instead of working. At some point I got sick of feeling guilty and decided to make something out of that exact feeling — rush, noise, and frustration. That’s how the track appeared,” says Monotronique.
In Monotronique’s words, the album became “music about music” — a diary of the very process of making it, from endless procrastination to sudden bursts of focus. Between glitchy bass, distorted percussion and moments of complete stillness, Hurry Up! unfolds like a loop of creative anxiety — and the relief that comes once you finally hit “export.”
The upcoming LP Mr. Procrastinator continues this story: a week-long sprint to meet a deadline that never stops shifting, with an interlude built from real phone recordings of doomscrolling.
