Growing up between the UK, Amsterdam and Adelaide gave me a weirdly perfect blend of influence, and a passion for anything old skool. The 90s sound has been in my ears since I was a kid, as my parents raised me on Jungle, Drum and Bass and rave energy. My first proper set was in September 2024 at Ancient World, where I got thrown into Adelaide’s underground scene with the DEEPTANK crew. We filled the floor from open till close, and that night pretty much lit the fuse. Big love to Skorpion King and Mr JohnJohn for putting me on and getting the ball rolling. After a while in the scene, and meeting some of the coolest people, I applied for my first set at Ignition. Although I didn’t make the line-up, Grant got me up on the decks with Counterpart at sun-up and we partied on till noon, where I met St3ph and S:Mack in their typical fashion, if you know you know. 🤣 Not long after, Counterpart invited me to play one of his park parties, tOASt. It was a midday opener, but there were still a few leftovers from the Christmas party on the night before who stayed up to support me. 😅 After chatting with Gunda G, he offered me a set on the BassBin 92.7. I went full old skool Jungle and DnB, and it’s still a mix I go back and listen to now. Once Tinkerb9l tuned in, she gave me my first prime time slot for C.L.U.B SKATE under the iconic Ovingham train station. I kept the same flavours as the BassBin mix and thankfully it landed the way I hoped. Straight after that, Amorositie asked me to play a Wicked Liquid show at Ancient World alongside Lottie B. I switched it up and played newer DnB for the first time, which forced me into different mixing styles because of how short the tunes are these days (unfortunately). A few weeks later, Tinkerb9l brought me onto Rollerz 92.7—the longest running DnB show in Australia. I pushed some of the newer sounds I’ve been getting into and it got a good response, which gave me a bit more confidence with that direction. Then KRITA hit me up for his TNA + FRIENDS lineup featuring Azza x Grima, Nu:Elementz, Benny L, Devilman, Inja, Harry Shotta and Jamezy. I haven’t played this one yet, so I’ll pick the story back up once I’ve done it 🤣👌
