Eye-Listen

As with the evolution theory, entertainment is evolving in the same way. From black and white to colour, from colour to 3D. From bleeps and bits to MIDI, from MIDI to fully orchestrated songs. Our senses are being stimulated more and more, with one sole purpose. To deliver a conclusive project to stimulate the target audience. Whenever someone whistles the Zelda or Pulp Fiction theme, people instantly recognize their experience while playing the game or watching the movie. This is one of the reasons I became a big fan of sound for the media. It always adds the right feel to what the eyes are perceiving. My lifelong dream was to add to that, my work it has become. My five-year study at the popacademy in Rotterdam serves as the foundation of my abilities. Although I mainly compose and produce all the music and sound effects myself through state of the art software and hardware, I built up a broad network of professional musicians who'd be more than willing to play their part if need be. Having worked on several games with the Golden Spinaward winning, as well as Dutch Game Award nominee "Flavour", while also having had some experience making documentary music for "Manische Media", I've been busy working my way up. Currently I am available for work as a sound designer and composer. I thrive not to simply deliver the audio, but to work as a whole with the production team to make that one ultimate experience. Where the image connects with the audio. To make the music blend with the visuals, so that the eye... will listen.
