The first two singles from Berlin garage band Evil Weevil's first full-length album, ‘Ants’ and ‘Fucked up at Burrito House’, are only a glimpse into the strange land of Between Two Logs. It’s like if Ween, Butthole Surfers, and the Velvet Underground had a baby, which then got dropped, several times. A heart-wrenching celebration of love, friendship, life, and bugs, as filtered through an ancient iPhone’s voice memos app and garage band distortion plugins. ‘Between Two Logs’ careens through a myriad of influences and sounds, from rockabilly, folk, and spoken word, to ramones-core and noise rock, doing all with just enough prowess to almost be recognizable. Will you enjoy listening? That remains to be seen, but we sure had fun making it!
