Ivo Hinkel aka Evil Hinko saw the light of day in 1973. 20 years later he was ready to go and made partypeople dance to his fine selection of – at first psychedelic influenced – electronic music. Consequently it was only a matter of time and soon you could find Ivo Hinkel behind the decks of hot events in legendary venues such as Alter Flughafen Munich, the storied Pulverturm, Natraj-Tempel, live on air on Evosonic Radio and on events in Switzerland, Austria and Hungary. After countless bookings at home and abroad Munich´s Nachtwerk Club / Electric Delicate hired Ivo as their resident. Ivo grabbed the chance and from now on fascinated the audience with his unique blend of driving and diversified sounds every weekend. In the year 2000 Ivo Hinkel started together with Benno Ruhdorfer the project Kontrasequenz whose live-performances brought them even to Tokyo. In autumn 2004 Ivo Hinkel laid the cornerstone for his solo career with his first release on Electric Delicate Records. But Ivo has always been one of these creative heads, who are not too keen on getting pigeonholed – his aim has always been looking beyond his own nose. So Ivo Hinkel was predestined to deliver a fulminant release for Alex Flatner´s (Circle Music / Monoid Recordings) new upcoming imprint Gedankensport and to show, that he is a true genius when it comes to putting minimal, electro-influenced sounds into a firm and driving outfit with a perfect buildup of tension. Always having an eye for the dancefloor – just as in his DJ-sets! After an "extensive" creative break, he is now back to surprise with new, fresh sound both as a producer and dj.
