Welcome to the official Evil Gray Soundcloud account. I originally wanted to be a singer, until I heard the song “The Real Slim Shady” by Eminem. One time my brother played that song and I was all over the place dancing as I was jamming to the song. After I heard that song, it made want to become a rapper. I’ve also been a fan of the Insane Clown Posse from back when they were wrestling in World Wrestling Federation, and later I got into their music. I’m also a Juggalo. I’m well aware that there’s such a thing as a “Juggalo Rapper”. I’m a rapper and a Juggalo, but I’m not both combined together. Eminem and the Insane Clown Posse are my 2 biggest inspirations. Back when they were beefing I never chose sides, I just thought the beef was crazy. I’ve done Horrorcore in the past, but I gave up on doing Horrorcore because I felt like the sub-genre isn’t my style. But I did find a sub-genre of Hip-Hop I can relate to the most. And that sub-genre is Nerdcore Hip-Hop. Back when I was in high school, I used to watch a lot of G4TV. They had a small series called “Freestyle 101”. They had some decent underground rappers who were freestyling at the time. The Insane Clown Posse were some of them. But, the rapper MC Lars was there too. He made me want to do Nerdcore Hip-Hop. Over a decade later, I showed MC Lars my song, “Nerdcore Ninjas” featured my friend Cain. I thought he was going to ignore me, but I was wrong. He actually did listen to my song and made a compliment. He said my song is dope and tight. I was shocked and after the experience I kept on saying “OH MY GOD” multiple times with a smile on my face, even before I was taking a shower. After I finished the shower, I was crying with a smile on my face. It was one of the most happiest moments of my life. After that experience, I officially considered myself as a Nerdcore rapper.
