Late of Edmonton's power pop quarter "Cone of Silence," Mark Sander has been working away at completing his debut solo album. The tracks listed are from Cone of Silence's two releases: "Lift, Twist, and Jerk" and "Sixty-Grit Sandpaper and Other Delights." Musicians on the Cones tracks are: John Newton, drums and percussion; Russ Baker, bass; Mark Sander, vocals rhythm and backward guitars, and; Pat Strain, lead guitar and vocals. Baker and Strain accompanied Mark to test out the new batch of songs for the solo project at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, England (yes, that one) for David Bash's wonderful "International Pop Overthrow." Stay tuned for a projected summer release of the solo project, "After the Moonshots."
