The Everlasting Souljas gospel rap group was founded by three anointed men of God on Sept. 10, 1999. Deacon Vic, Mr. Shouty and Edward Johnson were the first three members. All three men were childhood friends who grew up with single parent households in the public housing of Nashville, TN. They overcame many of the challenges of this world to become followers of Christ. Later came along Chevron Dixon Known as Ms. Shorty and Michael Dixon known as Lil Mike. The group traveled from church to church, city to city ministering the word of God through Holy Hip/Hop. Sponsored by organizations such as the YMCA and several local churches, the Everlasting Souljas immediately exploded on the scene as one the best Holy Hip/Hop groups in Tennessee. The Everlasting Souljas has ministered in prisons, churches, various evening venues and juvenile facilities. Thirty souls were once led to Christ at the Woodland Hills Juvenile facility one evening. After going through several group changes and a multi-year hiatus, the Everlasting Souljas has returned to the Gospel scene with Mr. Shouty and Deacon Vic carrying the torch. This dynamic duo released its first complete album project called “It’s Our Time” in June 2011. The Everlasting Souljas believes that it is time for the children of God to lay hold to their spiritual inheritance and begin to walk in the victory that God has already ordained for our lives. It’s Our Time!
