Boise, Idaho-based electronic bass music producer Drew Ake, best known as Doctor Chubs has produced dubstep for nearly a half-decade. In that time, Doctor Chubs has built his signature discography up with heavy-hitting tracks, remixes, collaborations, and mixes like “Dubstep”, “Hold On”. and “EXTRRA”. His bass-heavy and forward-thinking releases have found home on labels such as Electrostep Records, AY YO TRIP! Records, GlockWork Records, WASTELVND Records, BASSCVLT, and, Bass Capital Records, respectively. Doctor Chubs gets inspired by artists like Space Laces, Crankdat, and Samplifire for their vision, sound design, and electrifying stage presence. He has also developed a memorable brand and a dedicated following online and in his area. Doctor Chubs has played Bass Canyon Festival’s silent disco tent in 2019 and several events in Spokane, Washington, and Boise, Idaho, where he has opened for names like Kai Wachi, Slander, Slushii, Flux Pavilion, OG Nixin, Ray Volpe, and AFK at several high-profile venues and events. Doctor Chubs has had the honor of playing direct support for legendary bass icons Marauda, Eliminate, Borgore, Virtual Riot, and Barely Alive.
