this would have been a good place to lose the sax and go all in on synth lead - but still flows and is really enjoyable.

Comment by ontrackp

beautifully composed and arranged Rob!

Comment by ontrackp

I love that your sax player has two mouths!

Comment by Negoba

I love the chord movement on this one. Maybe my favorite jazz track from you so far and there are plenty.

Comment by BrainBeat

While I think you track is fine it didn't feel very adventurous especially in the sound design.

Comment by Vapor Idol

I'm about halfway through my ratings and this is probably my favorite so far (despite my critique). Well done and good luck!

I can see what MadMcMan is saying -- to my ear the bass and instruments sound fine but the drummer seems like he's a bit lost. Everything congeals back together soon enough, though.

Comment by MadMcMan

lost me a wee bit in the middle here

I can imagine this being in a lucasarts point and click game.

Jazzy lazy mood. The bass is superb.

Comment by Sequential-X

If you were aiming for that smokey jazz bar with the 1 (most likely undead) barman and the 3 residents that been siting on the same spot through their entire life, then you totally nailed it!

Comment by Sequential-X

I love the bass frequencies coming out of my speakers.

thats it for tonight boys

nice greasy bass

nice, super lazy, 9pm, smokey bar somewhere by the beach in florida, or downtown chicago, locals only.

Comment by Loris

good chilled out vibe

Great musicianship and a solid jazz tune all round! I don't usually like your acoustic emulations, but this one is decent, although the percussions still sound a bit Casio-ish :-)

Comment by Amorphic Mark

The rhythmic section and the piano are amazing, both in composition and sound design; it’s just incredible you pulled them out of a Monolit. The trumpet also, but those two even more. Such a solid, tasty cool jazz tune

Reminds me of The Pink Panther. which I like.

It's to formulaic "jazz" for me and it's a little bit to long ...

Very good. The sounds are also great, if you consider that it's Monolith. Looking at it objectively - after the whole OSC, it would be a good idea to change some sounds and prepare this song in a better version (sounds). Either way - very good.
