Andrew Lorente (DJ ALo) is a music producer, songwriter, and DJ from Long Island, New York. Andrew started making music at the age of 12 when he downloaded a beat-making app called “DPM” which introduced him into the realm of music. He started teaching himself how to produce electronic music on Abelton at 13 years old during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown, which enabled him to release his first single, Everytime, in October of that year. In his freshman year of high school, Andrew spent most of his afternoons silently perfecting his craft, waiting for a chance to show it off. He got this chance at “The Mercy Benefit Concert”. A fundraiser concert ran by the Xanadu Literary Magazine and the Collective Recording Studio Club at his high school. He DJ’ed an upbeat EDM mix that had the whole crowd consisting of both students and teachers dancing in a mosh pit. From there on, DJ ALo was born. Andrew continued to release singles such as Help Me and Don't Wanna Leave throughout his high school career. He also worked closely at his schools recording studio club, “The Collective”, to release their first rap song, Crying All Alone. A powerful track featuring rapper Destan and singer Addie Balogun, which garnered much support from their school and community. In June 2023, Andrew released his most ambitious project yet, Unrequited Love. An RnB/Pop album tackling the themes of love and self-improvement. Now Andrew is focused on sharing his Cuban-Dominican roots through his music.
