“Changing the World, One Party at a Time” the Bio of Samuel R. Stevenson (a.k.a. ButterflHigh) ( DJ - Producer - Musician - Recording Artist - Graphic Designer - Artist - Event Planner - Promoter - VJ ) For over 20yrs. Samuel R. Stevenson also known as "ButterflHigh" or "djBflHigh" has been a force of his own in the cut-throat "Electronic Dance Music" scene of Florida. Starting his Dj career at the age of 13 in 1989 at a small skating rink called "Skate Town USA" in Vero Beach, Florida. Samuel cut his teeth on "2 Turntables and a Microphone", where he developed his own style known as "Mutli-Style" (a style which encompasses “all” Dance Music styles into “One Unique blend of Eargasmic Beats”)... From there he played shows from Key West to Jacksonville, making his first mark in Orlando in the mid 90's at landmark Nightclubs like FIRESTONE, the Edge and, His appearances at Electronic Dance Music Festivals Like "ZEN", "the END" and, too many more to list. Touring the U.S. in '98-'99 from East to West, including many stops at “Large Underground Events in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas”, to “Private Beach and Island Parties in South Florida” helped to gain him the Large Dedicated Following he has Today. Also finding the time to Work, Perform and Record with (Electronic Heavy Metal Band) “Jesus of Borg” as “DJ.1of3”… Summer of 2002 brought Samuel back to Vero Beach Florida where he began his journey, this time to Co-found as Resident Head DJ and Art/Visuals Director for "Club Octane", (Vero Beach’s Premiere Nightclub). This Time Working, Preforming and, Recording With (Experimental Industrial Death Metal Band) “TWitCH” as “Dj. BflHigh”… In 2003 He took some Time off for Family Matters. Capturing an Internship at WHLG “The Coast” 101.3 F.M., the Treasure Coast’s #1 Easy listening and Soft Rock Radio Station, based in Stuart, Florida. All the while taking any extra time he had to Work on and, improve his Music… Then in 2005 Samuel teamed up with the E.D.M. Underground Production Company “E.P.” (Euphoria Project) and, it’s Founder "Mitchell Brian Waas". Together they Produced many events, like "Electronic Mash-up", "Anime Adventure", "Rapture" and, the well-known series "Breakbeat Picnic 1,2,3 &, 4". Also producing numerous other events at Ft. Lauderdale's popular underground nightclub "X-IT"... 2007 in partnership with Porn star “Kelly Kane” and “VIVID Entertainment” Samuel produced the highly popular “Scandalous” series of events in West Palm Beach, Florida… After the untimely death on March 19th, 2008 of E.P.'s founder Mitch Waas, Samuel took a break from the scene to focus on his Children and Family. During which time he began to Reinvent himself and Improve on his "Multi-Style" concept... After signing with "SHEEVA RECORDS" (a Division of V.O.T.U. Productions, International Label) in late 2008, Samuel worked as the Personal Assistant to Grammy Award winning, 80's Dance Music Icon, "Funky Junction" (a.k.a. Constantino "Mixmaster" Padovano), and became Sheeva Records Artistic Director and A&R division manager. This new found collaboration gave him the opportunity to be a part of Shows at some of South Florida's Hottest Nightspots like Nikki Beach, Hed Kandi, and Mansion. He was also involved with Special Events and Performances at Spirit, Gryphon and, Privé at "the Seminole HARD ROCK" hotel and casino in Hollywood, Florida... 2009 He was Co-Founding “Art Director” of the Treasure Coast Premiere Venue “Club La Zen”… 2010-2011 Samuel is performing at “Select Events” in South Beach/Miami, Florida and, cultivating his new found association with International “Superstar Dj Keoki”. He has also advanced his “Multi-Style” concept to include Video, thus elevating him and his style to a “New Artistic Level of Sonic and Visual Entertainment”. Soon to be Releasing “Series of E.D.M.
