Born to a single mother struggling to raise 5 brothers and 1 sister raised on the south side of Chicago ButtaLotus often found himself either gang banging fighting stealing or hustling on the daily. ButtaLotus always somehow remained an honor student throughout all of the adversity. At the age of 14 ButtaLotus was just finishing his last segment of probation from a theft charge he was convicted of the same year. He began to write poetry and kept his talents hidden. During his 1st year at Prairie View A&M University ButtaLotus entered a talent show and received accolades being told he needs to be a Rapper. 4 yrs later He left to do music in St. Louis and matured his overall product after performing about a year straight with a youth organization called "You Make It Happen" who's goal was to visit troubled youths at high schools park districts and juvenile detention centers to "Promote Consequences" ButtaLotus seasoned his style from a battle lyrical punchline dropper to one with his own rhythm and flow remaining versatile and uncopied Shortly after ButtaLotus moved to Jamaica Queens. and at the time was working as writer to pursue music in New York City. Now living in Los Angeles ButtaLotus is currently creating a strong buzz for himself independently. With his extensive musical range ButtaLotus is well on his way to becoming not only a musical legend but writer in many genres of music as well with his #1 goal to be the next timeless artist....
