Jay R Eazy
Kalamazoo, MI
Rapper/Singer of Kalamazoo, Michigan . . The name is Jay R Eazy. I originally began writing music in 2020 under my legal/stage name the one and only Brendon Rice. With old projects I worked on like “Xability” and “Songs For The Departed”, half the songs from each album is now on The Old Era album. My first time discovering rap music was when I was younger at like age 7. My parents would play rap/hip-hop music from a long list of artists. They’d play Eminem, Tupac, Biggie, Mac Miller, Ice Cube, etc. Later years after, the rap game during the 2010’s has changed. New rappers started to find their own sound and this is where it leads up to today’s music. I started to try writing rap music when I was around 10 years old. Tried remixing the lyrics of Lose Yourself by Eminem but I ain’t showing it tho, it’s cringe as hell. In high school, I did take slam poetry and creative writing classes at 15, which has led up to now, taking my writing skills to the next level. The more I’ve learned about slant rhyming and exact rhyming, the more rhymes that came to mind as I wrote. In later years, I realized what I wanted to do with the lessons I’ve learned to this day. This is the 269.
