- Bran Jegan - - Open Format - This “Mix – Meister” makes a comeback after a silence in the last couple of years that has only made him better at what he does best and what he holds true to his heart. Starting back in the late 90s, Brian holds a very firm foundation in spinning discs. With almost 10 years in the trade & seeing various stages internationally, Brian, is a promising young DJ who is capable of catering to any audience and ambiance. Though he positions himself as a Tech/ Minimal Tech DJ, Brian is one of the best in the trade with a mix of old & urban styles of music. Brian personally hand picks the type of tracks that he spins at his next appearance to make sure that no two sets of his sound the same. Spending hours at practice sessions, Brian has proven his dedication to the rest of the pack by being a step ahead with the style, type of music, & in ways of presenting his skills on stage which remain unique complimenting his style. Brian has built up an image as a mean & aggressive free-style DJ, never bound, stereo-typed or limited by the styles of music. Brian stood alongside some of the top notch DJs as the Resident DJ of various clubs both local & international. Taking his first step in the shadows of one of Colombo’s most wanted Hip-hop crews; Brian started his career as a backstage DJ. Learning the basics skills from one of the Best names in the island, Brian was able to rapidly shift into the international stages along with the hip-hop crew. Starting off as a Hip-hop & freestyle DJ, Brian mastered the skills of beats and bars in such a way that he was able to be a part of the production of the crews’ latest tracks. It was at this point that he decided to explore other styles of music & wonders in to the ocean of House music. Finding an immediate passion for the style, he sets off to set a trend of his on in the Island’s electronic music scene. There has been no turning back ever since for this young master who delivers results, every single time on every single set. Apart from his career as a DJ & being the founder & one half of BK Productions – The loudest name in event Management during the mid – 2000s, Brian is a “IT Guy” who serves for a Multinational as the head of Sales. He holds an Honors Degrees in IT and Audio Technology from the University of Middlesex, making him one of the very few DJs with the actual technical know-how of the new age of music & equipment. He promises to combine his educational knowledge & DJ skills together in such a way so as to bring out something new to the Islands’ electronic music scene.
