BNChoir
Edsa Shrine
The Blue Notes Choir is composed of students and young professionals from all over Metro Manila who are bounded by their passion for music and utmost dedication to serve the Lord during Eucharistic and other liturgical celebrations at the Shrine of Mary, Queen of Peace or more popularly known as the EDSA Shrine in Mandaluyong City. Jojo Ingan, who was the group’s first musical director, founded the choir in 1991. The choir has been with the music ministry of the EDSA Shrine for over eighteen years, serving in their original 7pm Saturday anticipated mass. Very few of the Blue Notes members have received formal musical training, but the group has been blessed with gifted musical directors and committed members through the years. The choir is currently under the guidance of its present musical director, Thomas Julian Hollon. The Blue Notes Choir, in addition to masses, sings at weddings, seminars, and funerals. The group also engages in outreach activities, especially to the abandoned children in an orphanage in Tayuman, Manila for the past four years. The choir also has regular slots every third Sunday at the Holy Family Chapel, Greenhills Shopping Center.
