Blended Generations is the joint musical project of Roger Price and Ola Milena. Singer and multi-instrumentalist, Ola Milena, has been part of the international world of sound for over 20 years. Originally from Poland, she began her music journey studying violin at the age of seven. Having sung from childhood, she pursued music while at university in New Zealand, studying classical performance voice. She has since worked as a performer, composer and vocal coach in NZ and Australia. After moving to Melbourne in 2012, Ola concentrated on her own musical creation – Senivoda (Polish for ‘Dream and Water’) - a psychedelic soul band with a world flavour, as well as collaborating with many local musicians. Ola’s music has taken her to a number of destinations throughout Australia and beyond, most recently performing at the Bali Spirit Festival. Although having made his professional career in the information technology industry, a lifelong love of words, literature and music led Roger Price to compose poetic lyrics in his post-work life. Through this medium he explored the theme of hope and hopefulness. A timely introduction to Ola Milena began a fruitful musical collaboration. With the lyrics set to music, orchestrated and with Ola’s beautiful vocals backed in the recording studio by talented local musicians, Hope Sweet emerged. This comprises an EP of six smooth soul sounding tracks. Although they arrived at their collaboration from quite different backgrounds, Ola and Roger have together created a suite of melodic and meaningful songs.
