Red “Red”is a country-ish skronker about an unexpected moment of existential / biological terror. Funnily enough, it was Teen Getaway’s singalong number. We record the song as part what would've been our debut album. It never was finished (it's a long story). The music was recorded, like most of the album, in our old house In Montevallo, AL by Todd Beene of the band Glossary. So, to do the song justice, we drove up to Murfreesboro, TN and enlisted Glossary to recreate the song’s “kumbaya” moment. We all piled into Glossary’s practice space and both bands sloshily did our duty — and twice ("Pet Sounds" style). This new mix was created in 2017 by Todd Beene. It was mastered by Jason Hamric. It will hopefully be the first in a series of releases from this lost Teen Getaway material. "Red" is now available wherever music is sold, streamed, or stolen! It is dedicated to the memory of Spencer C. Shoults.
