.. .. It's hard to cut a long story short, but I'll try to do my best. Bozeman's Simplex was born in november 1992 in the little town of Örnsköldsvik in the middle of Sweden. Founded by Anders and Patrik, soon joined by Mikael and Jonas on drums. The Music was inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Black Crowes. A lot of live gigs followed in 1993 and a lot of drummer came and went. It wasn't until Johan joined that the music became heavier and more riff-oriented. The first studiomaterial was recorded late 1993 and released on a full length cassette in spring 1994. The band carried on and became heavier and heavier. The tuning was dropped more than once and the influences now came from Black Sabbath and Monster Magnet. More demos were recorded and sent to the Swedish national radio. One radio show liked it and broadcasted some tracks. The sound caught the ears of Leif Edling (of Candlemass) who had just started his own record label and needed bands for a series of 10" vinyl records he planned to release. In late 1998 "Hyperdrive" was released on Froghouse Records, featuring three tracks. The first 500 copies sold out in a couple of months and a second pressing was made. By this time Johan had quit the band because of an injured shoulder and Henrik moved in behind the drums. We got in contact with an american label in late 1999 and there was talk about making a full length cd, but that never came through. Mostly because of financial issues. In 2000 Anders got tired of living in the northern part of Sweden and moved south and Henrik felt the same. This led to far too long distances to travel for rehearsals and Bozeman's Simplex is now officially disbanded, apart from some few reunions... ...and soon it will be 20 years ago that the bozeman band started to play!
