Salaam family, this is Henry. My story begins August 2nd 1996. I was born in the Bronx, high bridge to be exact. I grew up in a household that was filled with music, I remember my uncle having posters of Trigga Da Gambler, Keith Murray, The Bad Boy logo, pictures of Nas and BIG floded the room. My uncle RedHanded had a record deal with Laface, his crew 1lyfe2live had songs with Timbaland and Redhanded also did a freestyle with Jayz. I was taught at an early age the essence of Hip Hop, I was always taught to cherish and honor this art form, because it was given from God as a way for us to express ourselves. I grew up facing many obstacles as most kids do, I always found my relief in music. Listening to Sam Cooke or Ben E King I could find bliss in music. I've been writing since I was 7. My writing consist of lyrics, poetry, screenplays, short stories and written debates. Writing for me has always been an escape method. I graduated high school in 2014, I'm currently enrolled at Valencia College, my major is Network Engineering. Music is my passion, I use school and the wisdom and knowledge I obtain to fuel my lyrics. Furthering my education has transformed my mentality, my decision making and critical thinking has evolved and continues to do so because I work towards it. Not only am I learning, I'm also reading many books. Books by Donald Goines, Alex Haley, Malcolm X, Elijah Muhammad, The Holy Qur'an and many more. Books of this caliber has pushed me verbally and my communications skills have also sharpened. Being a student of hip hop I'm able to use education as a way to transcend my art. Being 22 years old and mentoring younger Children at my mosque, I'm able to pass on Gods grace and love. Through my music I will also improve our generation and get us back to the era where lyrics actually moved the people and didn't abuse the people. This shows at 22, I have the capacity to grow and help develop myself and the company I lend my time to.
