Thiago Guedes Willecke is a brazilian drummer and composer who attends to an online bachelor degree in “Music Composition for Film, TV and Games”, Berklee College of Music. His projects includes: jazz and brazilian music bands; a partnership with a tap dancer, mixing instrumental music and dance; He also attends to a degree in Psychology in UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina), what well matches his interest in literature and philosophy. - I write my music looking for new impressions of the wonder and mystery of existence. My work is the soundtrack of ambiguous feelings, it has the goal of transforming my inner tension in pieces people can relate to. I think of myself as an explorer and translator. Composing is like looking for an unknown part of my identity and then translating it to music. My creative process is a mixed approach of rational choices and inspiration. Whenever I'm composing, I'm always concerned with the balance between structure and creative freedom.
