Emcee 3i JOE is a grime artist based Los Angeles,CA. Influenced by the best UK Grime artists. In his younger years, he was an avid skateboarder, reveling in the fast lifestyle and the music that came with it. From there, he got into the punk rock scene, attending shows every weekend and participating in bands like The Unseen and The Casualties. It was a defining moment when a friend introduced 3i Joe to Jedi Mind Tricks and his perspective on music changed. He became heavily involved with underground hip hop and developed a relentless thirst for double time rappers, which eventually lead him to the UK grime scene. 3i Joe believes the gap between EDM and hip hop is about to be bridged and he intends to be one of the first to hop, skip and jump across the genres. “The energy of the music is what sets my heart on fire,” says 3i Joe. “From heavy hitting metal to poppy dance songs- all are influenced by hip hop and its unique ability to express the opinions of the world through complex verse structure.” 3iJoe is currently working on his EP, which will be released later this summer.
