Lifelong friends, Jonny Blevins, Stevie Robinson and Kris Totton grew up playing a huge part in their local early rave scene in Northern Ireland, playing and organising a never ending stream of warehouse parties and club nights, as well as attending the major rave events that helped define the creation of this iconic music scene. After being together for a number of years and making a heavy impact on the DJ circuit It seemed only right that the 3 Deep boys made the wise decision to push themselves further and get involved in the actual production of the music they loved so much. The first slice of music production creativity within the team came through some early production with RGB studios Belfast under the engineering talent of Dave Lievense (Psycatron) Two tracks were crafted together very quickly and ready for full vinyl release. Unfortunately It was around this time that changes in general life situations and unforeseen circumstances meant that 3 Deep’s production department was to be placed on hold. Forever holding on to their Ideas , thoughts and Dreams in 2008 a revitalised 3 Deep reformed and were given the chance to now work with Ireland’s leading electronic music engineer Graeme Laverty ( Montero ) at Cloud9 Studios in Belfast. Within the space of 3 months 3 Deep signed to Australian electronic superlabel Android Musiq and Hypnotic Room Records - things where now back on track! Working from their home studio with a new wave of Digital DJ/Producer software and with the studio hardware @ cloud9 to go with it. The lads can now be found for the best part of 8 hours a day beavering away in the studio, bouncing thoughts back and forward, getting their ideas down and ready for full production. On a DJ vibe the lads have been featuring on some high profile lineups alongside the likes of legendary clubland figures Terry Farley and K-Klass, (Wolfgang Gartner, and a string of headline acts at Sankeys Manchester). and have been pushing forward with the creation of some pretty tasty up & coming events. Their style of deep underground house music keeps on captivating dancefloors, radio listeners and podcast followers around the world, week in week out. Fast forward to 2011 and we find 3 Deep signed to high profile labels AlterImage Recording, StrippedMuzik and Manchester Underground Music. MUM have to date released two 3 Deep EPs ( 8 tracks in total ) and recently Remixing "Spin Science" monster release "What What" ! racing through the top 100 charts! This label is behind the lads and their idea’s 100%. StrippedMuzikClub ,( named by Sasha as his label of the year !!) released their EP on the 22nd Oct 2011, a collaboration with Global DJ/Producer Rosie Romero, remixes by Stripped artists are included on this release! Nov' 2011 see's them signing to New York Super label AlterImage Recordings, with an EP coming out early 2012, remixes from some of the labels top artists will also fetcher on this.. Some of the artists Alterimage have on their books are, Barry Jamieson, John Graham Quivver & Jimmy Van M.. With a string support from the World’s DJ elite (Darren Emerson, John Digweed,Roger Sanchez,Mark Knight to name a few ) a massive combined social media following and Monthly guest spots at Manchester’s ‘Home Of House’ Sankey’s and The Asylum Dublin. these dedicated soldiers of the deep are without doubt here to stay.
