MONATOMIC
Steffan Lazar, Tarran Webster
Steffan Lazar and Tarran Webster are childhood friends who grew up in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Drastically varying in personal music tastes from garage rock to shiny pop, the duo come together to create something truly unique. Steff and Tarran have had a roller-coaster ride since they first began releasing their music. They have been flown to the US for corporate and private gigs, and even randomly played their music to Woody Harrelson in their pajamas (in a mansion in Beverly Hills... we had to add that but it's legit!) MONATOMIC’s songs have received airplay across a variety of Triple J slots including Breakfast, House Party and Home & Hosed. They’ve also been heard on Sydney’s community station FBi radio, Triple J Unearthed Tops, as well as commercial rotation on the Hit Network. In the past year, MONATOMIC have been working hard playing a number of live shows such as Sydney’s Beerfest opening for Art vs Science and opening for Bootleg Rascal at the King Street Crawl. Last year it also saw the duo traveling to the U.S. to work with producers Nicopop and Tony Buchen (G-flip, Peking Duk), as well as producing (and doing a country duet) for Nashville artist Dawn Beyer, for Facebook's new music initiative. They also most recently had their track “They're Playing My Song” used for the Mad Hueys 2020 calendar video which has now garnered up to 1.8 million views to date. 2020 is shaping up to be a year for releases that the band have been working on in these overseas trips. With ‘Breathe' being the first in the line of singles planned.
