Come On, Compass by SuperHeroSmile

and all the subtle insinuations of which path you're meant to take
like raindrops on the fire, disappeared without a trace.
"you know, ive never had a heading" you shout out as waters swirl
"but i dont much care for dying, so let these tattered sails unfurl"
self distructive optimism like memories you hold
all these ticking time bombs that they swore to you were gold
self inflicted nightmares, sailing rivers of your tears
dried up all your luck from so much time spent breaking mirrors
and you started with direction but how the road it twists and turns
and all the breadcrumbs you left scattered fell between the pages burned
doesnt seem to be a happy ending at the end of this path
but i suppose that moving forward is just as good as pretending that i know my way back
i dont know my way back
come on compass dont fail me now
ive hit rock bottom and im still dig dig dig digging down
come on compass where do i go now
how many more times are you gonna spin spin spin spin around
suspicious accusations of whose side youre really on
and the nagging sensation asking "whos really been wrong?"
discovering questions in the answers that you sought
realizing understanding might not be worth the cost
and the resonating screams of the supersonic silence
say the center of the hurricane is to blame for this impending violence
be that as it may i say that we wait for the day
we know if we're in danger
or if we're the wicked things heading the other way
come on compass dont fail me now
ive hit rock bottom and im still dig dig dig digging down
come on compass where do i go now
how many more times are you gonna spin spin spin spin around
how many more times are you gonna spin spin spin spin around
how many more times are we gonna spin spin spin spin around?
