SINSUKE FUJIEDA GROUP — “Fukushima” (CD Edition)
A new spiritual jazz horizon where sound and memory intersect

    ● The globally acclaimed “Fukushima” now arrives as a complete CD edition
Originally released on vinyl in Spring 2025, Fukushima took the global jazz scene by storm—reaching #1 on Juno Records and Discogs sales charts, and charting in digital jazz rankings worldwide: #1 in Thailand, #2 in Finland, #4 in the UK, #5 in Belgium, and #7 in the US.

Now, this landmark recording by SINSUKE FUJIEDA GROUP is reborn in its definitive form on CD.
Featuring 9 tracks over 68 minutes, this expanded edition includes the original 5 album tracks in their full, unedited long versions, along with three acclaimed flute-based pieces previously available only digitally, plus the newly unveiled bamboo clarinet piece “Jiva.”

A deeply contemporary spiritual jazz statement that pushes the physical boundaries of the CD format.

    ● Comes with a 20-page booklet—part audio, part document
This release includes a full Japanese translation of the extensive feature interview with Sinsuke Fujieda originally published in WE JAZZ MAGAZINE Issue 16 / Fall 2025 (Finland).
The booklet also includes a wealth of black-and-white photos documenting the studio session, offering a visual and philosophical gateway into the world of Fukushima.

This is not just an album—it is a work of sonic art, archival document, and tactile design, brought to life through the CD medium.

    ● A fully self-produced and independently released edition
Released on SoFa Records, the independent label founded by Sinsuke Fujieda in 2012, this is the 19th installment of the catalog.

Every aspect of this work—from the sound to the artwork, structure, and layout—was conceived and realized by the artist himself.
It is a total statement of spiritual jazz not only as music, but as way of being.
