Reap What You Sow
Join our pigtagonist on her adventure to build up her hobby garden! Plant crops, harvest and sell them!
Controls
- Tab for Inventory
- B for Buy Shop
- S for Sell Shop
- Left/Primary click for everything else
- Can also be played 100% on mobile with touchscreen!
All assets made by me inside the jam including art, sfx and music .

Cutscene02
Cutebee:
Wonderful! You've sold 20 carrots! As promise lettuce seeds are now unlocked!
MC:
That's grea- hey, waitaminute where did all my monies go?
Cutebee:
Oh, did you not read the fine print? Unlocking seeds costs monies you know!
MC:
What fine print? Can I opt out of seed upgrades then?
Cutebee:
Nope, as you are currently subscribed to GardenPremium by accepting the Carrot Seeds StartBoosterPlus
MC: Can I cancel my subscription?
Cutebee: Absolutely! However there will be a cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of subscription.
MC: Gah! Nevermind then. Why are you doing this to me?
DoughBee: Oh, didn't I tell you? I'm a Dough Bee. We love to make that monie, honey.
MC: A Dough Bee? Figures.

DoughBee: Tomatoes are now unlocked in the shop!
MC: Holy Mother of Carrots, that was a LOT of monies.
Can I just, start over in another garden?
DoughBee:
I wouldn't recommend it, you see, I also own the plot of land, and everything you've been buying and planting is only compatible with this type of land.
Also you'd have to relearn all garden skills from scratch again, and buy new tools as well. Also our gardens setups are industry standard.
MC: Hmm, sounds like a lot of effort.
DoughBee:
Exactly, better stick what you know.
Cutscene04
DoughBee: Hey that's another unlocked seed for you! Enjoy the watermelons!
MC: ... *glaring*
I will be rid of you.
One day.
DoughBee:
*evil laughter* Oh yeah also that's the last seed unlock. Unless you buy the GardenerPro expansion.
MC:
That's it. I'm calling AffinaBee and see if they can help me out of this mess.
But first, I guess I need to keep making monies here, for now.

Fun small game. I thought the dialogue’s snarky-ness was a nice add-on to make it stand out a little.
I think that making the dialogue a different font would make it pop more, as I found it visually blending in a little with the different text and different visuals on screen, but this game was a nice experience anyway. Good to see how accessible it is to different platforms too.
You're so right, I basically left all text as default as I was rushing it all done and kept thinking "I'll change/fix the fonts later"... and later never happened. I'm working on a post jam version for after the voting finishes. Thanks for playing! :)
