 • Adequate Water 
 • 1 Tbsp Oil 
 • 1/2 Tsp Black Mustard Seeds
 • Few Curry Leaves 
 • 1 Dry Green Chilli ( Chopped ) 
 • Pinch Asafoetida 
 • 1/2 Tbsp Turmeric Powder
 • Salt To Taste 
 • 1/2 Tbsp Coriander Powder 
 • Few Coriander Leaves 
 • Piece of Lemon ( Garnishing )

Step 1 :- Moong Preparation
 • Take 100 gms Whole Green Moong Dal 
 • Wash & Soak in water for 5 mins 
 • Take an Empty Pressure Cooker 
 • Add Adequate Wate

Moong Daal Tarka Recipe

water 4 cups

Moong Daal (soaked) 2 cups

Salt 1 tsp

turmeric powder 1 tsp

cumin powder 1/2 tsp

garam masala 1/2 tsp

red chili powder 1 tbsp

onion (sliced) 1/2 cup

tomato (sliced) 1/2 cup

green chilies  1 tbsp

garlic 1 tbsp

ginger 1 tbsp

Tarka preparation

oil 1/4 cup

garlic 2 tbsp

red chilies 1 1/2 tbsp

cumin seeds 1 tbsp

red chili whole 1 tbsp

curry leaves 15-20

Directions for Moong Daal Tarka:

1- in a pan, add water and yellow lentils (soaked). bring it to a boil and skim it off.

2- now add salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and red chili powder, and cook for 5 mins.

3- now add onion, tomatoes, green chilies, ginger, and garlic. and mix it well.

4- now cover it and cook for 15-20 mins.

To boil: Orange split masoor dal 1/2 cup (washed and drained) Yellow split moong dal 1/2 cup (washed and drained) Turmeric powder 1 tsp Salt 2 tsp Crushed red chili 1/2 tsp  First tadka ( masala) Ghee 2 tsp Cumin seeds 1 tsp Diced onion 1 medium size Diced tomato 1 Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp Red chili powder 1 tsp Salt to taste Garam masala powder 1 tsp  Second tadka Whole dried round red chilies 3-4 Hing/asafoetida 1/4 tsp Ghee 1 tsp
