Recipes For Great Food: Bennigans Queso Dip

If you are a cheese-loving maniac like me, you will absolutely love this recipe!

Back in the 1980s, my friends and I spent countless hours enjoying meals at Bennigan's restaurant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. One of my favorite dishes was their incredible queso dip. Although Bennigan's is no longer around, my love for that dip has never faded. For years, I unsuccessfully tried to replicate it. Now, thanks to the internet, it’s finally time to make some dip!

Aurora Alert! Get Ready for a Stellar Show Tonight as the Sun Unleashes a Gigantic Solar Storm!

Information From Space.com - Daisy Dobrijevic

Most of the United States should be able to see the Northern Lights tonight!

This week, the sun has certainly made its presence known! A powerful X-class solar flare has erupted, accompanied by a fast-traveling coronal mass ejection (CME) heading straight for Earth. Predictions indicate that this CME could make impact in the next 24 hours. If everything aligns perfectly—specifically, if the CME has the right magnetic orientation to be termed "geoeffective"—we might be treated to dazzling displays of the northern lights as far south as Northern California and Alabama tonight, according to the U.K. Met Office.

Rams Survive "Windy City Miracle" And Defeat The Bears 20-17 in Overtime!

Associated Press

Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay shot knowing glances at each other, then went to work on the drive that got the Los Angeles Rams one step away from the Super Bowl.

Stafford and the Rams survived an incredible throw by Caleb Williams that forced overtime, beating the Chicago Bears 20-17 on Sunday night to advance to the NFC championship game.

Harrison Mevis kicked a 42-yard field goal in OT after Kam Curl intercepted a deep pass by Williams on the Bears’ first possession of the extra period. Stafford glanced at his coach prior to the winning drive, then completed three passes for first downs — including a 16-yarder to Puka Nacua to get the Rams into field-goal range.

My Memories of Life in Vernon Texas - A Simpler Life in a Simpler Time

 Written By Ken Hulsey

Recently, I have become really interested in Texas history. For Christmas, both my wife and daughter gave me two amazing books on the state's history. The book I am currently reading, which was a gift from my daughter, is entitled "The Blood of Heroes" by James Donovan, and I'm really enjoying it. The book tells the story of the Battle of the Alamo, a subject I have been fascinated by since I was a little boy.

I'm looking forward to sharing a lot of information about the incredible things I’m learning from this reading.

Before diving into interesting facts about Texas history, I thought it would be great to share a bit of my personal Texas history. Back in 1974, my father decided he had enough of living in the hustle and bustle of Southern California (Whittier, specifically, a suburb of Los Angeles) and moved our family closer to his brother J.G. and his family in Vernon, Texas. At that time, I was only six years old, and since I wasn't familiar with city life, transitioning to a smaller North Texas farming town wasn't too difficult for me.

Howdy, Gorgeous! The Irresistible Charm of Women from the Lone Star State!

A recent study revealed that 27 percent of women in Texas responded affirmatively to the question, "Do you consider yourself sexy?" This statistic reflects not only their self-confidence but also the unique spirit that embodies Texas women. They are not just beautiful; they exude a strength and resilience that truly sets them apart.

Los Angeles Residents Are Fed Up! - No More Lies! Demand Transparency and Accountability from Our Elected Officials!

The residents of Los Angeles have had enough! We’re sick and tired of the lies, the misinformation, and the complete lack of transparency from Mayor Bass and the elected officials who refuse to take responsibility for their catastrophic failures. They won’t even answer our questions about the mistakes that led to chaos when fires raged through Southern California just a year ago. These officials let reservoirs meant for fire suppression run dry. When our brave firefighters tried to turn on hydrants, they either didn’t work or were bone dry themselves. Our resources were stretched too thin, all because of budget cuts, leaving us short on firefighters and necessary equipment.

Your journey in 2026 starts right here in San Antonio! Let’s make it an unforgettable year together!

Start the year off in a place that radiates warmth, friendliness, and vibrant energy! January in San Antonio truly enchants with its sunlit days, rich cultural heritage, and a plethora of festivals that light up the month. Here are five delightful reasons why visitors find January in the Alamo City irresistible:

Campers Have A Strange Experience While Camping At Mt. Baldy | Was It Bigfoot? | Tales of the Unexplained

 Written By Ken Hulsey

Just before Thanksgiving, a woman, her teenage son, and two nephews drove up to Mt. Baldy in the mountains above Claremont, California, for an overnight camping trip. She was somewhat concerned about camping relatively close to civilization, fearing that criminals might be in the area. However, it turned out that thieves would end up being the least of her concerns, as an unknown and mysterious visitor was lurking nearby—possibly something not human.

Some West Coast Flavor - In-N-Out Burger

 Written By Ken Hulsey

My wife loves to reminisce about the restaurants we used to visit when we lived in California. Tonight, she mentioned In-N-Out, and immediately, I thought of a Double-Double and Animal Style Fries. As soon as those thoughts crossed my mind, my taste buds started craving it. The dilemma is that we are in Alexandria, Louisiana, and the nearest In-N-Out is a four-hour drive away in Dallas.

Remnants Of The Santa Fe Railroad Still Roll In The Mojave Desert - Edwards AFB California | BNSF

Photos and Story by Ken Hulsey

I know I've mentioned this before, but there's an incredible amount of former Santa Fe Railroad equipment still in use on the BNSF network. Nearly a decade ago, when I lived in the Mojave Desert, I was fortunate to capture numerous images of ex-Santa Fe locomotives still hard at work. And on a trip to Tehachapi one afternoon, I came across even more examples of the ATSF legacy living on, over 20 years after the merger with Burlington Northern.

On Saturday night in Charlotte, Stafford delivered yet another career-defining performance, overcoming three quarters of inconsistency to guide the Rams down the field in the final minute against a tough Panthers defense. His nineteen-yard pass to tight end Colby Parkinson provided the Rams with the lead just 38 seconds before the end of the game, securing a 34-31 victory over Carolina and advancing to the NFC Divisional Round.

Much To Do About Lemmings - Useless Information I Learned Today!

 Written By Ken Hulsey

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard the sad tale of the Arctic rodents known for their reputation for mass suicides, supposedly leaping off cliffs to their doom. It’s a confusing sight—adorable little creatures engaging in a life-or-death game of follow-the-leader to their demise. This makes one wonder why these cute little critters would behave in such a way and why a lemming would lead its kin off a cliff in the first place. Such behavior goes against the natural survival instinct that exists in all living beings, including humans. So, what is it about lemmings that leads to this idea of mass suicide?

What Are The UFOs Searching For in the Arizona and New Mexico Desert?

 Written By Ken Hulsey

In the early days of January 2026, the skies over the southwestern United States became the backdrop for a series of extraordinary events that would leave many questioning the nature of our reality. On the evening of January 2nd, precisely at 7:14 PM, an unusual sighting unfolded along Interstate 40, just outside of Wagon Wheel, New Mexico. A motorist and their companion were navigating the road when their attention was drawn to a luminous white object hovering in the desert expanse approximately ten miles from their position.

Louisiana Through My Lens | Ghosts of the Red River & Gulf Railroad | Southern Forest Heritage Museum

Photos and Story By Ken Hulsey

This past Saturday, I spent the afternoon exploring the grounds of the Southern Forest Heritage Museum in Long Leaf, Louisiana. The museum is situated on the site of the former Long Leaf Sawmill Complex, which was one of many mill complexes in the region. While the mill itself is fascinating to explore, I chose to focus on the old facilities of the Red River and Gulf Railroad on this gloomy day.
