RIBOSE: the website

this site is an exercise in writing things down / sharing with others / having fun online / ???

it was created in late september 2022, and has been slowly built up with handwritten HTML. it will never feature third-party ads, affiliate links, or art/text/code made with generative AI. light and dark mode are available for most pages through your browser or OS settings (though you should know that i'm biased towards light mode). most images here are dithered.

ribose (C₅H₁₀O₅) is a sugar molecule, most famous for its role in the sugar-phosphate backbone of RNA. the domain name, ribo.zone, is a reference to the ribosome, a complex of RNA and protein that translates the codons of mRNA transcripts into amino acids, assembling new proteins.
