The entirety of Trump’s cabinet needs to be impeached and removed… Oz, Bondi, Noem, RFK Jr., and Trump himself ofc. It’s like they’re all competing to see who’s the most despicable person in America.

Carl Higbie, host of “Carl Higbie Frontline,” said the Trump administration is in engaged in a cover-up by redacting names and identifying information in the files. By law, names were to be redacted either to hide the names of victims and survivors or to obscure the names of individuals under investigation.
“This is either a cover-up or it’s incompetence, and I want somebody to go to jail for it,” Higbie said. “At a minimum, anybody involved with screwing this up should no longer work at the DOJ or have a law license or anything.”
Wow, I never thought it would happen, but we’re now at the point where even Newsmax hosts are starting to sound sane and sensible…

And as a reminder, Nixon didn’t go to jail over Watergate (because he was pardoned), but guess who did? His Attorney General.

*her, Governor Abigail Spanberger is a woman (She is in fact the first woman Governor in Virginia’s entire history).

Good for Tom Suozzi for finally gaining a conscience I guess, but he absolutely still needs to be primaried for voting to fund ICE after everything that’s happened. Saying “I failed” isn’t good enough.

There is no way to recall any member of Congress. There is no mechanism for Congressional recalls in the Constitution or in any US law, unfortunately.

Tom Morello:
Today the Trump admin quoted the Nazi mass murder slogan, ‘One of ours, all of yours.’ Coined when an SS officer was killed and the Nazis murdered every male resident of the village in response. If there are any MAGA left after THIS, you have made an irrevocable choice.
Neil Young:
Today the USA is a disaster. Donald Trump is destroying America bit by bit with his staff of wannabes, people with no experience or talent, closet alcoholic wife beaters, inexperienced leaders who only know how to lie to keep favor with Trump falseness so they can hold their unearned positions in his inept government, a Congress full of Republicans acting like idiots with no conscience … Yes. He divided us. How did we elect these creeps who have no spine, no values, no conscience, no way to save the USA.
Something has to change this. We know what to do. Rise up. Peacefully in millions. Too many innocent people are dying.
And Bruce Springsteen has been anti-Trump and anti-MAGA for years now:
[Trump is] the living personification of what the 25th Amendment and impeachment were for. If Congress had any guts, he’d be consigned to the trash heap of history.

And before anyone says it, we know that the vote will fail in the Republican-controlled House. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to impeach her and put all the Republicans (and some Democrats) on the record that they support Noem’s completely heinous and unjust actions as DHS head. Impeachment is the bare minimum that Noem and the rest of this administration deserve, we shouldn’t refuse to do the right thing just because we know the vote will fail.

Some interesting history I didn’t know about:
More than 80 years ago, in 1945, President Harry Truman introduced a plan for a national health system funded through payroll taxes. His plan would have covered medical, hospital and nursing care for everyone, creating a federal health insurance agency to pay the costs of care. But it also would have put health insurance companies out of business.
Christian or not, Republicans in Congress, rebelling against anything that smacked of the New Deal, wanted no part of Truman’s plan. They were backed by the American Medical Association, which branded it “socialized medicine” and countered with its own plan, which relied on expanded private insurance and federal aid to fund care for the poor.
Wow, I didn’t know that Republicans have blocked us from having a national healthcare system for this long… here’s hoping 2028 is the year we finally change that, and we elect a President and majority in Congress that supports Medicare for All.

This is honestly so fucking embarrassing for Trump to still be so hung up on his 2020 election fraud delusions even today. And to be telling it to five-year old child on a Christmas phone call, what a fucking clown.

Not only that, it’s apparently the lowest ratings ever for the Kennedy Center Honors since CBS starting hosting the awards show in 1978.

This doesn’t mean a Constitutional amendment, Senator Chris Van Hollen is saying that he will attempt to reverse the renaming of the Kennedy Center through an "amendment on the interior appropriations bill" when Congress returns to session next year.

“Like I said: view all political developments for the rest of the week in light of the fact that the Epstein Files are supposed to be released on Friday. House Republicans just suddenly canceled Congressional session Friday and are sending everyone home Thursday evening.”

The discharge petition to force a vote in the House on a three-year extension of ACA subsidies has succeeded! Unfortunately even if it passes the House, the bill can be filibustered in the Senate, and there were only 51 votes in favor of the extension last time in Senate, so that means 9 GOP Senators will have to change their minds. It’s a very tall order, but you know what, I will celebrate every time Mike Johnson gets fucked over.

There is 0 chance Massie signs this discharge petition, he’s like completely opposed to government spending. And if Paul you mean Rand Paul, he’s in the Senate, not the House. I could see MTG signing it though.

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) signed a discharge petition led by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) to force a vote on extending expiring enhanced ObamaCare subsidies for three years
Every House Democrat has signed the discharge petition, and Fitzpatrick is the 215th signature. The discharge petition needs 218 signatures, which means just three more Republicans could force GOP leadership to bring the matter to a vote on the House floor.
We only need three more Republicans with a conscience to sign the discharge petition before it succeeds in forcing a vote on extending ACA subsidies in the House. Please, three Republicans who aren’t pure evil is all we need, I’m praying that there are at least three of you out there.
Update: Two more GOP Reps just signed the discharge petition. Just one more signature means it will succeed!
Update: The discharge petition has 218 signatures and will succeed!!

I’m praying that voters will remember this in the midterms next year. Every single GOP politician deserves to be voted out. This is the clearest sign that the GOP does not and has never cared about you.

And it wasn’t close at all, Democrat Eileen Higgins defeated Trump-endorsed Republican Emilio Gonzalez by 19 points, 59%-40%, in the Miami mayoral election, flipping the seat for the first time in almost three decades! Trump won Miami-Dade County by 12 points last year over Kamala Harris, and Miami is about 70% Latino by population. If this isn’t a sign of Latino voters completely turning against Trump, I don’t know what is.

No wonder Mike Johnson has recently been so adamant about curtailing discharge petitions and raising their threshold to succeed. He is losing his grip on his tiny GOP House majority and wants to get rid of one of the only processes that lawmakers can use to bypass him. If he had his way, the Epstein files vote would have never happened and this bill to ban Congressional stock trading would never see the light of day.

Polls close in 10 minutes in Tennessee! Praying that Behn pulls off an upset of historical proportions and flips this Trump+22 district from the GOP. But honestly even if she wildly overperforms and loses by only a few points, the GOP should be scared about the reckoning they’re going to face in the midterms next year.
Edit: Polls are closed! Fingers crossed that she pulls it off…

Tennessee, today’s the day! It’s your chance to show this current administration what a complete failure it has been on affordability, keeping healthcare costs low, and basically everything else. Please pull off the biggest election upset in decades and send Aftyn Behn to Congress and make Mike Johnson’s job of holding together his minuscule GOP majority even harder. You deserve representation who actually cares about you, not just another MAGA sycophant who will rubber stamp everything Trump says and does.

At this point impeachment isn’t nearly enough for Hegseth and Trump, they need to be held criminally accountable for committing war crimes and murder.
But at the very least, Democrats in Congress need to force an impeachment vote and put every Republican Rep. on the record about whether they’re okay with war crimes and murder. We know the GOP cowards in the House will refuse to impeach either of them, but let Republicans show voters and the rest of the world what their true colors really are.

Judging by Democrats sweeping the November elections earlier this year and how close the special election in Tennessee tomorrow (in a district Trump won by 22 points!) appears to be, the results seem to be promising so far.

In case you needed confirmation, Rep. Tony Gonzales is indeed a Republican, and he is married with six kids. That’s the party of “traditional family values” for you.
