Exceptional
The classic Telltale formula, that never changes. Consistency can be a good thing. The writing is mostly strong, if a little overly hard boiled. The quick time events are responsive, and there are enough twists and turns to keep you constantly playing. The comic look is great, too.

Detroit: Become Human is all about story, and is a terrific visual novel. The characterization of the three main characters is clever, and the visuals are strong. Connor was the highlight. Actual gameplay? It was more like a series of quick time events when not choosing dialogue options. It is worth multiple play throughs.

A worthy successor to A Link to the Past.

Very short, a lack of characterization for several main characters (including Crank!) but it’s looks great and the weapons/action are fun.

Hades is an incredibly addicting rogue like dungeon crawler, that deftly balances infinite death with story and character growth. It’s fast paced and challenging, while still giving you what you need in terms of story and upgrades to keep you motivated to keeping going (and dying.) It’s almost a bit like Civilization, where you will be playing late into the night, trying to shut it off while constantly saying to yourself it’s only one more turn.

Civilization VI is the most essential Civ since III, a comprehensive strategy game that throws the kitchen sink at you. It runs really well on PC, I wish I could say the same for my Nintendo Switch. Marathon games take so long to load towards the end, which can be very frustrating. On PC though, excellent. Just a great entry in the series.
