It was an OK story, with some choice making and light puzzles. It's a bit more down to earth than the Life Is Strange series games, but I would still want to see Dontnod making a game completely without supernatural elements.

I'm not sure how to categorize this game. It's not really a platformer because of the jumping mechanics. The puzzles are too simple for it to be a puzzle game. There is combat, but not very much of it. Maybe an exploration adventure game? I did end up enjoying the game. The cat and the sidekick were a combination I haven't played before. The cat is nicely animated. Although the jumping looks a bit off occasionally, the cat-like walking, drinking, napping and others look spot on. The environments are also full of details and the abandoned feel of many places is excellent. That alone made me want to explore. There's not much dialogue and the story is rather simple. But I did root for the good guys to succeed and enjoyed being mischievous against the bad. I can recommend it to anyone who enjoys adventure games, especially if you like cats.

The story, atmosphere and visuals are amazing! The game takes place in some very interesting places. But the actual gameplay... While the puzzles and combat feel OK in the beginning, towards the end I just felt annoyed when I saw a door with runes on it or Senua drew her sword. And the length of the combat phases as well as their frequency just went up in the last chapters.

This is a review of the single player campaign. The first half of it was fun. Fighting in the urban environments during the first few missions with civilians to watch out for were a nice change. Towards the end it'll be more of the same gauntlet with increasing numbers of infinite enemies that we've seen since the original Modern Warfare. Sometimes there is a small change in the gameplay to vary it a bit, but usually these instances are also heavily scripted. The graphics and audio are good. There are some annoying bugs mostly regarding graphics, but running everything on the highest setting is not a requirement for me, so they didn't really bother me much. The voice acting is good, the music easily forgettable. The story is good enough and doesn't get boring, but I feel like it's missing something. There are no intense, memorable highlights, but some of the main characters are interesting. If you've liked the previous titles of the series, this is a pretty safe bet.

It's ok. Very combat heavy, although the premise would allow for more imaginative solutions than shooting everything until problem is solved. The combat is fun, with the skills available and the environment getting demolished. There's just too much of it. There are a some puzzles, but they are few and far between. Great level design and memorable scenes at times.

I enjoyed the first season more overall, but LiS2 is better when it comes time to evaluate the consequences of your choices. The story gets better towards the end of the season. Recommended for those who like games focused on stories and choices.
