Simple Textile Card - Stampers Anonymous

Today's card for the Stampers Anonymous Valentine Curation is a simple Textile card using the CMS023 Weathered Textiles stamp and Vogue Components Stamp COM008

Here is the process video tutorial for this card.

If you don't have dark brown twine, you can color some with Ground Espresso or Walnut Stain ink.

The drawn edging gives the idea of a dark, thin mat without actually having a mat there.

The sentiment is from Odds and Ends CMS100. There are several sentiments that can be stamped in the tickets and this is one of them.

I just popped a couple of vintage buttons in the corner. You can get Buttons Galore buttons (linked below) or there are lots of vintage places you can buy a bag of Vintage Buttons

Thank you so much for spending some time on my blog today. I appreciate you!

Field Notes - Simon Says Stamp Coordinating Dies Blog Hop

Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop featuring exclusive coordinating dies to match Tim Holtz stamps. I hope you are enjoying the inspiration from all of the blog hop participants today.

My YouTube tutorial can be found here: https://youtu.be/2u-sChe2RqI?si=pAH696GFTEc5NR0O

I've chosen to use the Field Notes stamps and dies for my card today.
Begin by gathering your supplies. You need the Field Notes Stamps and coordinating dies. I also used Tiny Text CMS394 and Mesh & Linen CMS221, along with other supplies that area all linked below.
Begin by watercolor stamping a background. I used the Mesh stamp from Mesh & Linen CMS221. Both stamps in this set make fantastic backgrounds for a wide variety of stamps and I highly recommend it as a super versatile background stamp. I inked it up with Antique Linen, then some Crushed Olive and ended with a bit of Speckled Egg.
Once you have the inks on the stamp, spray it with some water until you can see it beading up. Then stamp on an A2 piece of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock. I usually press it down with my hand in one corner and then move it to the opposite bottom corner and press it down there so it isn't a complete background stamp, there will be holes or gaps in the pattern.
Next, using Speckled Egg Distress Ink and a small stamping block, stamp many of the small text stamps from Field Notes all over the stamped background to add another layer,
Once the background is stamped, stampp the images that have coordinating dies. I stamped most in Ground Espresso Archival Ink and a few in Speckled Egg Archival Ink. I colored them in with Crushed Olive, Speckled Egg and Rusty Hinge, with a bit of Antique Linen and Ground Espresso.
Once the images are colored, lay the coordinating die on top of it and tape it down and run it through a die cut machine.
Trim your background to 4x5.25. Then plan out where you want all of the die cut images. I lightly inked the edges of all of them with some Ground Espresso.
Some of the Field Notes I attached directly to the background. Others (as you can see here) I added a layer of scraps underneath so they were even when I attached them.
The last layer is to add some foam squares under three of the pieces that will be the last layers. I used the three clippings for this layer.
For a sentiment I stamped "never stop exploring" from the Tiny Text stamp set, in Ground Espresso Archival Ink and then colored it with Speckled Egg Distress Ink. I ripped the left edge and inked it with Ground Espresso Distress Ink before adhering it to the bottom right corner.
Ink the edges of the background and the edges of a kraft card base and then attach the whole card front to the card base.
The layers of stamping and then layers of die cuts and a great deal of interest and texture to the card.
The multiple. layers add interest and dimension.
The coordinating dies work perfectly wtih the stamps. They cut so beautifully!
Here it is completed. Thanks so much for stopping by to see my card!

The Inspector Valentine

It's an exciting day! Simon Says Stamp has released four new exclusive coordinating dies that go with five Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stamp Sets. For today's masculine Valentine card I used the Inspector stamp set and NEW coordinating dies with a few stamps from the Stampers Anonymous Valentine Curation to make this card.

Here is my video process for making this card. Enjoy!
I love the edge detail that the star line stamp added to the edge. The way it crosses over in the corners gives it an American Craftsman feel to me,
The die cut goggles and rosette add great dimension even attached right on top of the stamped image.
The edge they go on the end of the Inspector stamp is fabulous!
The repeat stamping of the tickets in three different Oxide colors made a great background. I love it.

That's it for my first make with the new coordinating dies. I hope you enjoyed this different take on the Inspector.

Have a creative day,

Tami

Stencil Stamped Background - Stampers Anonymous Valentine Curation

Stencils can be a versatile tool. You can obviously stencil with them, which will give you one pattern, and then you can stamp with them which will give you another version of the pattern. For the background of today's card, I used the Heartstruck stencil from the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Valentine Curation as a stamp.

Here is the video tutorial of the card, and below are the close-ups so you can see the details add to the finished card.
In this top left corner of the card you can see the watercolor stamping of the scroll from the Shabby French CMS087 stamp, as well as the twine bow, and the script stamping I did on the paper that I stamped the Cupid on.
This photo of the top right corner really shows the hearts from the stencil stamping as well as more of the scrip in the cupid word and image.
If you wanted you could pop up the cupid with some foam squares. It would add some dimension, but even just the extra layer of cardstock added some fabulous dimension.
This close-up really lets you see the script stamping behind the sentiment. See how protecting the script with the Micro-glaze really protected itwhen I watercolored the letters?

Here iin the bottom you can see the stamps I added from the Love Struck CMS082 set.

Another card that was pretty simple, but now you can see how each of the steps added little details that really set this card apart.

Thank you for the visit. I hope you have a very creative day,
Tami

Love Letters - Repeat Stamped Background

I made this fairly simple Valentine using a repeat stamping background for the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Valentine Curation.

Here is the link to my Youtube tutorial

The bottom sentiment really anchors the card. It is from the Valentine Silhouettes stamp CMS121
The collage stamp is from the Classics #8 SCF008
The repeat stamped background used the Postcards stamp set CMS099

I just love the vintage look of this Valentine and I hope you do too!

The products are all listed below with links for easy shopping.

Have a creative day,
