Radno kolo (4) udarnog rotornog mlina sadrži između dva diska (7,8) lopatice (9) čije ivice okrenute prema unutrašnjoj strani, na jednom delu širine lopatice (9) zadiru u unutrašnju stranu poprečnog preseka ulaznog otvora radnog kola (4). Ispust (11) okrenutje ulaznom otvoru radnog kola (4), čija širina odgovara 1 do 40%, prvenstveno 5 do 20%, širini lopatice (9).
