Abstract

This invention is an apparatus for game console controllers, ensuring more effective and controlled use of vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, etc. in the game and enhancing the gaming enjoyment.

Description

1.1 MINI STEERING WHEEL FOR GAME CONSOLE CONTROLLERS
Mini steering wheel / handlebar mechanism integrable into game console controllers.
1 .2 TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
It is related to computer games, video game consoles, and console controllers. It is an apparatus that is attached to the Game Console controllers and with the mechanism contained in this apparatus, it is an apparatus that allows the console controller to be controlled with apparatus such as steering wheel and handlebar.
1 .3 STATE OF THE ART OF THE INVENTION
The state of the art is realized in the form of directing the vehicle in the game by connecting real-sized steering wheels and pedals to the game consoles via electronic circuit boards and various sensors and usb-like cables to the game console and transferring the physical steering wheel movement through data (see EP2377587A1 and USD973774S). There are also commercially available mini-steering mechanisms not protected by a patent, which are made entirely of plastic parts and are attached to the console control. These mechanisms block access to many buttons on the console controller. They render many buttons on the console controller dysfunctional, and most importantly, work in a very flawed, non-fluent way. The invention, on the other hand, has eliminated the defects of this product and realized a smoothly working version.
1 .4 OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The invention enhances gaming enjoyment by allowing more effective control of the arm known as “analog joystick” on the game console controller through a mechanical apparatus attached to the console controller, utilizing a steering wheel, handlebar, or similar mini-sized parts, enhancing the control of said analog joystick arm. While doing so, one of the most important features of the product is that it does not obstruct access to any buttons on the console control. In the development of the system created with this invention, the aim is to design a steering system that
- is practical,
- sustainable
- applicable / adaptable to all types of game console controllers
- provides a smooth and seamless user experience during use,
- can be mounted onto the main structure, i.e., the console controller, without causing damage,
- can be easily removed when desired,
- does not obstruct access to the buttons on the console controller,
- can be custom-manufactured to meet specific needs while also being suitable for mass production,
- is cost-effective, and to address unmet needs and offer it for users' benefit.

1.6 DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION In the invention, bearings (8)(9)(10) are placed respectively on the main body (1 ) placed on the console controller and bearing housings (3)(4)(5) where the 623ZZ and similar type bearings in this main body will be placed. Bearing (17) of type LM6UU or similar bearing is placed in the bearing housing (6) on the Main Body, where a horizontal bearing of type LM6UU or similar bearing can be placed. Through the bore numbered (7) in the continuation of the main body, the menu key extension apparatus (17) is inserted vertically as shown in the figures. In socket (4), the 2nd capless shaft gear (13) is inserted. The shaft of the 1st gear (12) is then inserted into socket (3), passing through the bearing first, and seated such as to pass through the channel (2) shown in front of the main body. The steering apparatus (11 ) is placed on the free end of the shaft at the bottom of part (12) so that it is under the game controller. The part (15) is inserted through the horizontal bearing of type LM6UU or similar located in the socket (6) on the main body (1 ), in a right-to-left direction, with the threaded part facing the socket (5). In socket (5), the 3rd gear (14) is inserted. Then, the part (20) is attached to the guiding analog joystick arm on the left side of the console controller to which it is attached, facing forward at approximately 90 degrees. Finally, the shaft on the part (20) is placed in the bore (16) shown on the part (15) and facing forward at a 90-degree angle, from front to back at an angle of approximately 90 degrees, such that the shaft of the part (19) is also placed in the paperclip-like channel of this part (Figure 2).
The invention is half produced by plastic injection molding method; the other half consists of materials such as bearings and rods with standard dimensions that can be obtained from many suppliers in the market and is industrially applicable.
1.7 ELEMENTS THAT MAY BE INCLUDED IN THE APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION
In addition to the above-mentioned main elements, different additional elements can be applied in the application of the mini steering system designed with this invention, these additional elements are listed below; a) While the gear system can be applied in the center of the invention (12) (13) (14), power transmission can also be realized with pulley and belt system (figure 10) b) While the gear system can be applied in the middle of the invention (12) (13) (14), power transmission can also be realized with parts and gears such as a wire or joint made of metal and its derivative (figure 7) (figure 8) (figure 9). c) The invention can be placed on the upper surface of the console controller as well as on the lower surface of the console controller (figure 7) (figure 8) (figure 9). d) The invention can be applied purely mechanically, or it can be applied to console controllers as an electronic, external apparatus by means of an electronic circuit board and a mini servo motor. e) The parts (19) (20) of the invention which make the connection to the analog joystick arm on the console controller may be connected with a magnet or in other ways. f) The horizontal bearing system (6) (16) can be applied in different sizes and ways (figure 7) (figure 8) (figure 9). g) The invention, with its main body and whole structure, can be modified and applied to any commercially available game console controller.
