Abstract
Provided herein is a cosmetic product consisting of a tissue based on cellulose fibers soaked with a cosmetic composition containing N-[4-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-1,3-thiazol-2-yl]-2-methylpropanamide (INCI: Isobutylamido Thiazolyl Resorcinol). Isobutylamido Thiazolyl Resorcinol has a higher recovery rate in the composition and a higher bioavailability at cellulose fiber products.
Description
The present invention belongs to the cosmetic field, and relates to a cosmetic product consisting of a tissue based on cellulose fibers soaked with a cosmetic composition containing N- [4- (2, 4-dihydroxyphenyl) -1, 3-thiazol-2-yl] -2-methylpropanamide (INCI: Isobutylamido Thiazolyl Resorcinol) , especially a facial sheet mask containing a Isobutylamido Thiazolyl Resorcinol composition.
The production of cosmetic products has shown an increasing trend over the last years. This is primarily due to consumers’ increasing health awareness for hygiene.
So-called face masks represent a special form of cosmetics. In this special form of facial cleaning and care, commonly a relatively high-viscous paste is applied in concentrated form to the skin, which then left to act on the skin for a longer period of time.
In an alternative form of face masks, tissues and non-wovens soaked with a cosmetic liquid, could be used. Many consumers prefer this form, because the handling is more easily.
One disadvantage of the state of the art is the fact that the release of active ingredients from tissue-based face masks is relatively low. Many active ingredients are fixed at the surface of the tissue material, either in their porous System or via absorption. For this reason, the cosmetic effect, based on the active ingredients is very low.
This phenome was especially observed for the active ingredient N- [4- (2, 4-dihydroxyphenyl) -1, 3-thiazol-2-yl] -2-methylpropanamide (INCI: Isobutylamido Thiazolyl Resorcinol also known under the tradename Thiamidol) . This compound is relatively polar and has a good solubility in water and ethanol. For this reason it has the ability to interact via hydrogen-bridges with polar surfaces. On the other side Thiamidol is one of the most popular whitening ingredients in the world.
It was therefore the object of the present invention to eliminate or reduce significantly the disadvantage of the prior art. It was the aim of the invention, to create a tissue-based face mask containing Thiamidol as an active ingredient, with a high cosmetic availability.
Surprisingly, the object is achieved by a cosmetic product consisting of a tissue based on cellulose fibers soaked with a cosmetic composition (or a cosmetic preparation) containing N- [4- (2, 4-dihydroxyphenyl) -1, 3-thiazol-2-yl] -2-methylpropanamide (INCI: Isobutylamido Thiazolyl Resorcinol) .
It was unexpected for the Person known in the art that Isobutylamido Thiazolyl Resorcinol has a higher recovery rate in the composition (and for this reason a higher bioavailability) at cellulose fiber products than on Polyamid/PET fibers as it could be seen at the comparative example (see below) .
It is advantageous in accordance with the invention if the product is characterized in that the tissue is a non-woven fabric.
It is preferred in accordance with the invention if the cosmetic product is characterized in that the tissue is a sheet mask product.
It is advantageous in the context of the present invention if the cosmetic product is characterized in that the cellulose fibers are selected from the group of Lyocell, Cotton and Viscose fibers. It is preferred if the cellulose fibers are selected from Lyocell or Viscose.
Embodiments of the present invention are advantageous in accordance with the invention, if the cosmetic product is characterized in that the tissue material has an average pore size of more than 15 μm, more than 25 μm, more than 30 μm, more than 35 μm, more than 40 μm, more than 45 μm, more than 50 μm, more than 55 μm, more than 60 μm, more than 65 μm, or more than 70 μm, measured with liquid-liquid two phase substitution method via PMI liquid-liquid pore size analyse instrument.
Embodiments of the present invention are also advantageous in accordance with the invention, if the cosmetic product is characterized in that the tissue has a thickness between 0,45 mm and 1, 03 mm, measured by the method ERT30.5-99. Preferred are tissues with 0,55mm up to 0, 8 mm and especially preferred from 0, 6 up to 0, 75 mm, measured by the method ERT30.5-99.
It is advantageous in accordance with the invention if the cosmetic product is characterized in that the tissue has a weight of 35 to 120 g/m2 measured at 20 ℃ ± 2 ℃ with a room air humidity of 65%± 5%for 24 hours. The preferred weight is from 40 up to 55 g/m2.
Embodiments of the present invention are advantageous in accordance with the invention, if the cosmetic product is characterized in that the Degree of impregnation i.e. the weight ratio of cosmetic preparation and tissue is between 2.1 and 4.0. Preferred are 2, 4 to 3, 7 and especially preferred from 2, 7 to 3, 4.
It is advantageous in the context of the present invention if the the cosmetic composition contains N- [4- (2, 4-dihydroxyphenyl) -1, 3-thiazol-2-yl] -2-methylpropanamide (INCI: Isobutylamido Thiazolyl Resorcinol) in an amount from 0.005%to 0.2 %by weight, based on the total weight of the composition. Preferred is a content from 0.01 %-0.1 %by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.
It is advantageous in accordance with the invention if the cosmetic product is characterized in that the composition contains one or more polar oils like Ethers, Esters, plant-based oils especially Dicaprylyl Ether, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride and/or Cocoglycerides.
It is advantageous in accordance with the invention if the cosmetic product is characterized in that the composition contains fatty alcohols like Cetearyl Alcohol and/or Stearyl Alcohol.

It is preferred in accordance with the invention if the cosmetic product is an emulsion, especially an oil-in-water-emulsion.
In such cases it is preferred if Emulsifiers like Polyglyceryl-6 Stearate and/or Polyglyceryl-6 Behenate are used.
Preservatives like Hydroxyacetophenone, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerine, 4-t-Butylcyclohexanol are also useful in accordance with the invention.
It is advantageous in accordance with the invention if the cosmetic product is characterized in that the composition contains one or more Gums like Xanthan Gum Sclerotium Gum and/or Wellan Gum.

Furthermore, the composition could contain acids like Citric Acid, Phosphoric acid, Lactic Acid.
And it is advantageous in accordance with the invention if the cosmetic composition contains complexing agents like EDTA or Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate.
All the weight percentages (%by weight) given below relate, unless otherwise stated, to the total weight of the cosmetic composition.
If ratios of certain components are disclosed in the following description, these ratios refer, unless otherwise stated, to weight ratios of the components.
The following examples should illustrate the compositions of this invention, without intending to limit the invention to these examples. The numerical values in the examples are percentages by weight, based on the total weight of the compositions or preparations.
