Abstract

The invention relates to a carrying strap (20) for carrying an object (7), in particular a name tag, access pass, badge, badge of office or sign, around the neck of a user. The invention relates to a carrier tape according to claim 1 and a carrier tape arrangement according to claim 12.

Such lanyards are available in a wide variety of designs and are used, for example, to verify access authorization for a person wearing the lanyard around their neck to a building, an event such as a trade fair, a congress, a conference, a workshop, a cultural event, a sporting event, or the like. In addition, DE 202 11 715 U1 describes a so-called lanyard, i.e. a neck strap for carrying keys, ID cards or the like, with a strap that can be placed around a person's neck and that has a fastening device for an object to be carried at a lower end and, at a distance from the lower end, at least one panic lock that opens automatically when a pulling force is applied, which connects a first free end and a second free end of the neck strap to one another to form a closed strap. With the lanyards used to date, name tags, admission tickets, service tags, or identification badges (often referred to as badges) are usually attached to a loop-like section of the strap using snap hooks. The band, connector, and end pieces can serve as advertising media and are made of a compostable material to identify the lanyard as a sustainable product.

Even if a high level of recycling or sustainability is achieved by proposing a lanyard made of a compostable material, there is still the problem of the laborious disassembly of the lanyard into its individual components.

The invention therefore has the object of simplifying the recycling or disposal of a carrier tape arrangement with a carrier tape.

The problem is solved by the subject matter of patent claims 1 and 12. Accordingly, in a first aspect, the invention provides a carrying strap for carrying an object, in particular a name tag, access pass, badge, sign or service mark, around the neck of a user, wherein the object can be received by the carrying strap via a loop-like strap section or from a loop-like strap section and at least one longitudinal end of the carrying strap has a connecting element formed substantially from the material of the carrying strap for connecting or securing the carrying strap to or on the object.

In a second aspect, the invention accordingly provides a carrying strap assembly comprising a carrying strap according to the first aspect and an object to be carried by the carrying strap, in particular a name tag, access pass, or badge. The carrying strap assembly is characterized in that the object has at least one recess in which the carrying strap can be locked with at least one connecting element.

According to the invention, a carrying strap is provided that is essentially made of a recyclable material and can be directly connected to the object to be worn by a user without the use of external connecting elements, for example, made of a different material. A carrying strap assembly with the carrying strap can be easily disassembled into its components, which can then be recycled or disposed of sustainably.

The advantage of the invention lies in the conservation of resources and a reduction in the number of materials used. In one embodiment of the support band according to the invention, the connecting The reinforcement element is designed as a seam of at least one longitudinal end of the support strap. This ensures a high degree of functional capability of the support strap without the use of additional material.

In another embodiment of the fastener tape according to the invention, the connecting element is formed by a folded tape section in which layers placed one above the other are bonded together by adhesive. Alternatively, the connecting element can be formed from a folded band section, thermally bonded to form a single layer. This requires no additional auxiliary material.

In a preferred embodiment of the inventive support strap, the connecting element is designed as a barb-like section. This simplifies the manufacture of the inventive support strap while simultaneously ensuring its functional capability. Furthermore, the use of additional materials is avoided.

In a particularly preferred embodiment of the carrying strap according to the invention, the barb-like portion is formed by incisions made substantially laterally at an angle to the longitudinal extent of the carrying strap. This allows for a simple locking of the carrying strap to the object.

Preferably, a connecting element, which can be designed like the previously described connecting elements, is provided at both longitudinal ends of the carrying strap for connecting or securing the carrying strap to or on the object. This allows for greater variability in the type of connection to the Object achieved with an improved mechanical connection.

If the free ends of the carrying strap according to the invention are not sewn together or connected in any way, the loop-like section is formed by the carrying strap and the object held therein.

The carrying strap can be connected or secured to or on the object at a single connection or fastening point. The advantage of this is that safety is at least somewhat increased in the event of a dangerous situation caused by the carrying strap becoming jammed. The two unconnected carrying strap ends can detach from the connection or fastening point if sufficiently strong tensile force is applied.

A sufficiently stable connection or securing of the carrying strap to or on the object is achieved, when the carrying strap ends are not connected to each other, via two connection or securing points, preferably designed as recesses. The advantage of this design lies in increased safety. Since the carrying strap itself does not contain a loop, if the carrying strap or similar device becomes jammed and a corresponding tensile force is applied, one or both ends of the carrying strap would detach from the connection or securing point(s).

If the free ends or end sections of the carrying strap according to the invention are connected to one another, preferably sewn, a connection or fastening of the carrying strap to or on the object at only one connection or fastening point is improved with regard to the stability of the connection between the carrying strap and the object. The loop-like section of the carrying strap can be fastened to the object or connected to it using the connecting element of one or both longitudinal ends. This is because with the ends of the carrying strap connected to one another, preferably sewn, the carrying strap can also be sufficiently well connected using only the connecting element provided at one of its longitudinal ends. connected or fixed to it.

In an embodiment of the carrying strap according to the invention such that its free ends or end sections are connected, preferably sewn, in the longitudinal direction between the barb-like sections, a mechanical reinforcement of the locking of the carrying strap with the object is provided.

In an alternative embodiment, the free ends or end sections are connected longitudinally outside the barb-like sections, preferably sewn. The advantage of this is that it facilitates the insertion or threading of the carrying strap into the article.

Preferably, the support band according to the invention is formed by two partial bands which are connected with an adhesive seam-like sewing connection in such a way that the sewing connection is approximately the same distance from the free ends of the support band.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the carrier tape is formed from a substantially recyclable material. This is preferably recycled polyethylene terephthalate. The seams and adhesive seam-like stitching on the carrier tape according to the invention are preferably made using threads made of recycled polyethylene terephthalate. Even if the carrier tape cannot be reused, the polyethylene terephthalate carrier tape material can be recycled.

In the carrier tape arrangement according to the invention, the article is preferably formed from a cellulose-containing material, more preferably from cardboard or paper. The article is preferably designed as a folding card or cardboard.

In one embodiment of the support band arrangement according to the invention, the connecting elements of one or both longitudinal ends are connected by at least a preferably slot-like recess such that the carrying strap is locked to the object. In the object, which is preferably made of cardboard or paper, the at least one recess is then preferably formed centrally along an outer edge.

In another embodiment of the carrying strap arrangement according to the invention, the object has at least two spaced-apart recesses in which the carrying strap can be locked using a connecting element each. If the object in this embodiment is designed as a name tag, access pass, admission ticket and/or badge made of a cellulose-containing material, in particular paper or cardboard, the locking of the carrying strap in each of the recesses performs the function of a panic lock. In the event of an unintentional jamming of the loop-like strap section, which could lead to its shortening, strangulation of the user is prevented by one or both ends of the carrying strap detaching from the respective recess or by the carrying strap being released by tearing the object open from the recess.

If the carrying strap in a carrying strap assembly is connected to the object by the connecting elements of both longitudinal ends being locked in a recess, a panic closure is achieved by a self-adhesive seam-like stitching connection provided in the loop-like strap section opposite the connected longitudinal ends of the carrying strap. The self-adhesive seam-like stitching connects two partial straps to form the loop-like strap section. When a tensile force acts on the loop-like strap section, the self-adhesive seam-like stitching tears open, thus preventing the loop-like strap section from moving toward the neck of a person using the carrying strap assembly, thus preventing a life-threatening emergency situation.

After use of the carrying tape according to the invention or the carrying tape arrangement according to the invention, the carrying tape can be easily removed from can be removed from the item and reused after appropriate cleaning. In a first embodiment of the fastener tape according to the invention, designated by the reference numeral 1, its longitudinal ends 1 a, 1 b shown in Fig. 1 a are sewn together at a seam 2 (Fig. 1 b) to form a loop-like tape section 3. The extended representation of the fastener tape according to Fig. 1 a is, as in the subsequent embodiments, also reduced in size compared to its functional representation shown in Fig. 1 b. Towards the longitudinal ends 1 a, 1 b, between the longitudinal edges 1 c, 1 d, incisions 4, 5 are made at opposite positions at an angle to the longitudinal extent of the fastener tape 1. The incisions 4, 5 are provided such that they lie between the seam 2 formed at one end 3b of the loop-like tape section 3 and a closed longitudinal end 3a of the loop-like tape section. The incisions 4, 5 form a barb-like connecting element 6 for connecting or securing the carrying strap 1 to an object designed as an access authorization card or admission ticket 7 according to Figs. 2a, 2b.

A carrying strap arrangement 11 according to the invention is formed in that the carrying strap 1 is locked with the barb-like connecting elements 6 in a recess 8 of the registration authorization card 7. Barb-like sections 6 formed by the incisions 4, 5, which are assigned to the longitudinal ends 1a, 1b of the carrying strap 1, penetrate the recess 8 as shown in Fig. 2b and lie against a rear side 7e of the registration authorization card 7. The locking of the carrying strap 1 in the recess 8 is achieved in that a web section 12 of the barb-like sections 6 rest against a recess edge 8a in the area of the back 7e of the registration authorization card 7. The locking is such that forces acting when the carrying strap 1 is worn cannot release it.

However, if the forces occurring during normal wearing of the carrying strap 1 are exceeded by the loop-like strap section 3 becoming jammed or caught in such a way that it is pulled towards the neck of a user located in the region of the closed longitudinal end 3a, a safety or panic closure is required. Such a panic or safety closure is shown in the second embodiment of the carrying strap 1' according to the invention, illustrated in Figs. 3a to 3c.

The loop-like band section 3' is formed according to Fig. 3b from two partial bands 13, 14 which are joined together to form the loop-like band section 3' as follows. First longitudinal ends of the partial bands 13, 14 provided with the barb-like sections 6 are sewn together to form the seam 2'. Opposite the seam 2', second longitudinal ends 13a, 14b of the partial bands 13, 14 are connected to one another with an adhesive seam-like sewing connection 15 to form the loop-like region 3'. In contrast to the first embodiment of the carrier tape 1 according to the invention, the seam 2' in the carrier tape T is arranged along its longitudinal extent to facilitate insertion or threading of the carrier tape 2' between the barb-like sections 6. It is understood that the arrangements of the seams 2, 2' in the carrier tape 1 according to Figs. 1 a, 1 b and the carrying strap 1 ' can be exchanged for each other according to Figs. 3a to 3c.

The adhesive seam-like sewing connection 15 is formed with stitches that are spaced further apart than the seam 2' and is not sewn all the way to the side edges 1'c, 1'd. This enables the separation of the loop-like band section 3' as illustrated in Fig. 3c.
