The packaging and application device is for example intended for applying a cosmetic product, notably a makeup or care product, to a keratin material and/or keratin fibres, and is notably intended for applying mascara to the eyelashes.
The term "keratin materials" preferably means human keratin materials, notably keratinous appendages, and more particularly keratin fibres.
The term "keratin fibres" in particular means the eyelashes and/or the eyebrows, and preferably the eyelashes. For the purposes of the present application, this term "keratin fibres" also extends to synthetic false eyelashes. The term "mascara" means a composition intended to be applied to the eyelashes or to false eyelashes.
The packaging and application device may also be intended for applying a fluid lip product such as a lipgloss or lip varnish, or else of the fluid products such as eyeshadow, concealer, liquid foundation or nail varnish.
In particular, the present invention involves facilitating the opening and closing of a packaging device comprising a storage receptacle and a lid intended to be screwed on in order to close said storage receptacle, notably aimed at individuals of reduced mobility who are unable to perform a twisting action with their hands in order to close or open such a packaging device.
In general, the invention applies to the opening and closing of any object made up of two parts that can be screwed, or clipped, one onto the other.
Prior art
The devices for packaging and applying cosmetic products such as odorous solutions, namely perfumes or deodorants, are generally atomizers.
An atomizer for an odorous solution usually comprises a receptacle for storing the solution, and a spray head mounted on the storage receptacle and able to move between a solution-dispensing position and a rest position.
Such an atomizer sold on the marketplace is generally used by a manually depressing the spray head in order to cause it to transition from its rest position to its dispensing position. This depressing is achieved for example by using the index finger or the thumb to apply a force.
However, certain individuals with reduced mobility are sometimes unable to perform such a movement because, as a result of an accident or a malady, they are no longer able to perform it or, therefore, to use atomizers of odorous solution. Such incapacity stems for example from a deformity, tremors, the loss of an arm, or a loss of strength.
Creating atomizer packaging specific to each particular body type might be one solution for allowing individuals with reduced mobility to use atomizers but this is ill-conceivable on a large scale and would involve significant production costs.
In addition, individuals with reduced mobility, in a quest for inclusivity and purchasing simplicity, are looking for solutions that allow them to use the same packaged cosmetic products as individuals who enjoy full mobility. According to another aspect of the present application, the devices for packaging and applying cosmetic products, namely cosmetic products packaged in a particular packaging currently found in the marketplace and containing, for example and nonlimitingly mascara, lipstick, pencil, foundation or else eyeshadow, are generally packaged in such a way as to be able to be used by individuals having full physical capacity to grip things in their hand(s).
For example, the cosmetic-product packaging and application devices often comprise a thread used for restructuring a mascara with a closure cap, or a rotary element for extending a stick of lipstick out of a casing of a lipstick packaging and application device, or else a clip-fastening element for clipping together a protective lid and a receptacle. For the individual using them, these packagings therefore require the ability to perform a twisting or, notably in the case of mascara, a back and forth movement, using the hand.
However, certain individuals with reduced mobility are sometimes unable to perform such a movement because, as a result of an accident or a malady, they are no longer able to perform it or, therefore, to apply cosmetic products by themselves. Such incapacity stems for example from a deformity, tremors, the loss of an arm, or a loss of strength.
Creating packaging specific to each particular body type is ill-conceivable on a large scale and would involve significant production costs.
In addition, individuals with reduced mobility, in a quest for inclusivity and purchasing simplicity, are looking for solutions that allow them to use the same packaged cosmetic products as individuals who enjoy full mobility.
Furthermore, the devices for packaging and applying cosmetic products such as mascara, lipstick or pencil, as well as others, generally comprise two parts that can be screwed or clip-fastened one onto the other, in this instance a storage reservoir and a cap that is screwed or clipped onto said storage reservoir.
Such packaging devices sold in the marketplace are generally used by opening them by hand in a movement in which the hand twists or pulls in order to unscrew or unclip the caps or applicators.
However, certain individuals with reduced mobility are sometimes unable to perform such a movement because, as a result of an accident or a malady, they are no longer able to perform it or, therefore, to use such packaging devices. Creating packaging specific to each particular body type might be one solution for allowing individuals with reduced mobility to use a mascara packaging device but this is ill-conceivable on a large scale and would involve significant production costs.
In addition, individuals with reduced mobility, in a quest for inclusivity and purchasing simplicity, are looking for solutions that allow them to use the same packaged cosmetic products as individuals who enjoy full mobility.

The case may further comprise at least a human-machine interface communicating with a control unit. The human-machine interface may comprise a display screen, notably an LED screen and/or control buttons and/or control keys situated, for example, on a wheelchair and/or on a ring and/or on a bracelet and/or on a wheeled walker.
The interface may offer various functions and/or programs making it possible for example to set certain operating parameters of the case, or indicate certain information to the user, such as the battery level, the time of use, the product level, user-specific information or else information relating to the safety and/or conditions of use of the case.
The interface may enable the selection of a mode of operation for treating different areas of the body.
The interface may communicate via a wired or wireless connection, for example over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, with a terminal such as a mobile phone, a tablet or a computer for example so as to receive updates or transmit data associated with the use of the case.
The case may be equipped with a stabilizer assembly as described in patent US11458062B2, able to stabilize the case in response to a movement brought about by a user and comprising: a receiver configured to be coupled to the case; at least one sensor configured to detect a movement brought about by a user; circuits configured to determine a compensatory movement to compensate for the detected movement; and at least one motion-generating device integrated into the receiver and configured to command the case to move on the basis of the determined compensation movement. One object of the present invention is therefore to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages and to provide a system that allows easy unscrewing and screwing or, more generally, opening, closing and holding, of a packaging device found in the marketplace.
One subject of the present invention is a system for the automatic opening and closing of a cosmetic-product packaging and application device comprising a storage receptacle for the cosmetic product and a cap screwed and/or clipped onto the storage receptacle, the system comprising an internal housing defining an internal volume for receiving the storage receptacle of said device and being provided with an access opening for accessing the internal volume, and an external housing on which the internal housing is mounted with the ability to rotate in both directions of rotation about the longitudinal axis of the internal housing, the system comprising a motor for rotating the internal housing and retaining means configured to keep the storage receptacle secured to the internal housing in order to rotate as one therewith when said internal housing rotates.
Thus, the storage receptacle of a cosmetic-product packaging and application device inserted into the internal housing can be held and rotated by the motor and by means of said internal housing. At the same time, the cap of the device may be held fixed by a user. The cap may thus be screwed onto or unscrewed from the storage receptacle without the user having to perform an unscrewing or screwing motion that certain individuals with reduced mobility sometimes find impossible. The present invention is particularly effective in unscrewing and screwing on a cap screwed onto a receptacle, but may also be used for unclipping a cap that is clipped onto a receptacle.
Advantageously, the retaining means are configured to keep the storage receptacle of said device secured by friction to the internal housing so as to rotate as one therewith.
Advantageously, the internal housing comprises a peripheral wall radially bounding the internal volume, the retaining means comprising the peripheral wall of the internal housing.
According to one embodiment, the peripheral wall of the internal housing comprises an elastomer material or any other material capable of gripping onto the cosmetic-product packaging device.
Alternatively or in combination, the retaining means comprise at least one membrane made of elastically deformable material and supported by the internal housing and positioned in the internal volume, said membrane comprising a slit at its centre and through which the storage receptacle of said device can pass.
The membrane is capable, because of the material used, of deforming under the action of the pressure exerted by the storage receptacle of said device, and of returning by elasticity to its initial position when the storage receptacle is removed.
The membrane is, for example, made of an elastomer material or any other material capable of gripping onto the cosmetic-product packaging device.
The membrane makes it possible to increase the area of contact with the storage receptacle, and therefore increase the grip and/or the friction so that said storage receptacle can be held more easily inside the internal housing.
According to one particular embodiment, the retaining means comprise at least two membranes supported by the internal housing and positioned in the internal volume arranged so that they are spaced axially away from one another, the slit in the membrane situated axially at the end closest to the access opening having a larger cross section than the slit in the other membrane.
The presence of several membranes encourages stable retention of the device along the longitudinal axis of the internal housing while at the same time adding additional friction that improves said retention during rotation. The difference in the size of the cross section between the various slits of the various membranes also means that the system can be adapted to suit different shapes and sizes of cosmetic-product packaging and application device.
Advantageously, the internal housing comprises a baseplate delimiting the bottom of said internal housing, a neck defining the access opening, and at least an intermediate part situated axially between the baseplate and the neck.
According to one embodiment, the baseplate, said intermediate part and the neck are stacked axially.
As an alternative, the baseplate, said intermediate part and the neck are produced as a single one-piece part.
Advantageously, the neck, said intermediate part and the baseplate each define a cross section of decreasing diameter, the neck defining the largest cross section and the baseplate defining the smallest cross section.
Advantageously, the baseplate is provided with at least one through-orifice for removal of said cosmetic product. This orifice is produced so that a liquid, notably the cosmetic product, can be removed should it escape from the storage receptacle.
According to one embodiment, the system comprises a contact switch positioned axially under the baseplate and configured to send an activation signal to activate rotation of the motor when an external axial pressure is transmitted to said contact switch by the deformation and/or movement of the baseplate.
According to one particular embodiment, when two external axial pressures are transmitted to the contact switch within a short space of time, for example within under a second, the motor is activated to rotate in an opposite direction of rotation, compared with a single press.
Advantageously, the system comprises a rechargeable cell and/or battery positioned in the external housing to power the motor.
In one particular embodiment, the system comprises a light source configured to indicate the direction of rotation of the internal housing, the light source being positioned on the external housing.
According to one embodiment, the system comprises a button configured to send an activation signal to activate rotation of the motor and/or to reverse the direction of rotation of the motor, the button being positioned on the external housing and/or on a remote control.
Another subject of the invention is a kit comprising a system as defined hereinabove and a gripper for gripping a cosmetic-product packaging and application device.
Another subject of the invention is a method for using the system as defined hereinabove, said method comprising a step of inserting the storage reservoir of the cosmetic-product packaging and application device, a step of the user holding the cap fixed outside the system, a step of causing the rotation of the motor, of the internal housing and of the storage reservoir held securely to the internal housing by the retaining means, and a step of stopping the rotation of the motor once the device has been opened or closed.
The system may further comprise at least a human-machine interface communicating with a control unit. The human-machine interface may comprise a display screen, notably an LED screen and/or control buttons and/or control keys situated, for example, on a wheelchair and/or on a ring and/or on a bracelet and/or on a wheeled walker. The interface may offer various functions and/or programs making it possible for example to set certain operating parameters of the system, or indicate certain information to the user, such as the battery level, the time of use, the product level, user-specific information or else information relating to the safety and/or conditions of use of the system.
The interface may enable the selection of a mode of operation for treating different areas of the body.
The interface may communicate via a wired or wireless connection, for example over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, with a terminal such as a mobile phone, a tablet or a computer for example so as to receive updates or transmit data associated with the use of the system.
The system may be equipped with a stabilizer assembly as described in patent US11458062B2, able to stabilize the system in response to a movement brought about by a user and comprising: a receiver configured to be coupled to the system; at least one sensor configured to detect a movement brought about by a user; circuits configured to determine a compensatory movement to compensate for the detected movement; and at least one motion-generating device integrated into the receiver and configured to command the system to move on the basis of the determined compensation movement.

The platform 8215 for example has a thickness comprised between 1 and 10 millimetres, preferably the shape of a disc of a thickness comprised between 1 and 10 millimetres. Optionally, the space 8219 is covered with a non-slip coating, for example containing an elastic material.
In the embodiment illustrated, the device 821 comprises a housing 8221 extending orthogonally from the platform 8215, and a head 8223 mounted on the housing 8221 at the opposite end to the platform 8215 and supporting the motor 8213 and the actuating arm 8211.
According to one embodiment, the axis of rotation of the motor 8213 is directed parallel to the platform 8215.
Advantageously, the housing 8221 and/or the platform 8215 and/or the head 8223 comprises predominantly a lightweight material such as plastic, in order to make the device 821 light in weight and easy to transport.
In addition, the maximum length of the device 821 is preferably less than 25 cm, more preferably less than 20 cm, the mass of the device being less than 500 grams, preferably 300 grams.
These features enable the device 821 to be easily portable and able to be carried around in a handbag, a small backpack or a toilet bag, it thus being possible for an individual with reduced mobility to carry the device 821 around everywhere.
In one particular embodiment, the mounting means 829 further comprises a retaining member 8225 extending facing the platform 8215 from the housing 8221 and configured to hold in place said atomizer 823 set down on the platform 8215.
The retaining member 8225 extends for example parallel to the platform 8215. It enables the device 821 to be able to be manipulated whatever the direction in which the atomizer 823 falls.
Optionally, the retaining member 8225 comprises a bow 8225, preferably made from an elastic material, the ends 8227 of which are fixed to the housing 8221. Advantageously, one of the ends 8227 may be detached from the housing 8221 when the atomizer 823 is being set down on the platform 8215.
According to one particular embodiment, the device 821 further comprises a user-presence detector 8229, the motor 8213 being configured to move the actuating arm 8211 on the basis of signals transmitted by said presence detector 8229.
The presence detector 8229 is, for example, positioned on the housing 8221, as illustrated, or on the head 8223, or on the platform 8215. In one particular embodiment, the presence detector 8229 comprises a photoelectric cell. Thus, a user has merely to move closer to the presence detector 8229, or to move their hand closer thereto for the motor 8213 to begin to rotate and allow the actuating arm 8211 to press down on the head 8223 in order to spray the odorous solution.
Optionally, the presence detector 8229 is adapted to detect the presence of a user at a predetermined restricted distance, for example less than 20 cm from said presence detector 8229, preferably less than 10 cm.
The presence detector 8229 thus makes it possible to trigger the movement of the actuating arm 8211 only when the user is sufficiently close to the device and thus to reduce the risk of involuntary or untimely triggering.
In a particular embodiment, the presence detector 8229 is an infrared sensor.
Optionally, the device 821 may be remote controlled and comprises a radiosignal receiver 8231 sending an activation signal to activate the motor 8213, and therefore the actuating arm 8211, when said radio-signal receiver 8231 receives a predetermined radio signal. Said radio signal is for example sent by a remote control.
The device 821 is powered by a power supply plugged into the mains or, preferably, by a rechargeable battery 8233 configured to power the motor 8213, the battery 8233 being positioned in the housing 8221. The battery 8233 indeed promotes the mobility of the device 821.
The device further comprises a handle 8235 for manually holding said device 821, the handle 8235 extending from the housing 8221.
The handle 8235 is preferably configured such that an individual with reduced mobility is able to grasp it. It comprises for example a plurality of protuberances of different sizes so that it can be manipulated by a broad spectrum of individuals the manual mobility capabilities of whom differ and are respectively suited to grasping protuberances of different sizes.
A case 1 for presenting and supporting at least one cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 has been depicted schematically in Figure 3. The cosmetic product is, for example, nonlimitingly, mascara, lipstick, pencil, foundation or else eyeshadow. A plurality of cosmetic-product packaging and application devices 3 may be presented inside this case 1.
The case 1 comprises a container 5 and a lid 7 mounted movably on the container so that it can move between a closed position PF and an open position PO for accessing said device 3. A cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 may thus be positioned in the container and protected by same from air that is damp or too dry, while awaiting being used by a user.
According to one embodiment, the case 1 comprises a user-presence detector 9, and a motor 11 configured to move the lid 7 between its open position PO and its closed position PF and vice versa, on the basis of signals transmitted by the presence detector 9. An individual with reduced mobility may thus move closer to the presence detector 9 and trigger the automatic opening of the lid 7, making it easier to use. Advantageously, the presence detector is able to detect the presence of the user's hand. The lid 7 may then re-close itself when the presence detector 9 no longer detects the user, or after having spent a certain length of time in the open position PO.
For example, the presence detector 9 is positioned on the container 5.
In one particular embodiment, the presence detector 9 comprises a photoelectric cell.
As an alternative, the presence detector 9 may be replaced by a button or a remote control or else by a voice-command visual -recognition system.
Advantageously, the case 1 comprises an end-of-travel sensor positioned on the lid 7 or on the container 5. This end-of-travel sensor makes it possible to send a rotation-stopping signal that stops the rotation of the motor 11 when the lid 7 has reached one or other of the open position PO or closed position PF.
Advantageously, the case 1 comprises an anti-trap sensor positioned on the lid 7 or on the container 5. This anti -trap sensor makes it possible to send a signal that stops the rotation of the motor 11 when said anti-trap sensor detects that one of the user's limbs or some object is positioned between the lid 7 and the container 5.
According to one embodiment, the container 5 comprises at least a support 13 configured to support the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3.
According to various embodiments, the support 13 is mounted on the container 5 via a clamp fixed to a mechanical arm, or via a moulded surface configured to conform to the shapes of said support 13.
In particular, the container 5 may comprise a plurality of supports 13 each configured to support a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3, for example a support 13 for a device 3 for packaging and applying a stick 15 of cosmetic product of the lipstick type, or else a support for a device 3 for packaging and applying a cosmetic product of the foundation type. Advantageously, the case 1 comprises a plinth 17 supporting the container 5 when the case 1 is set down on a setting-down surface via said plinth 17.
The case 1 advantageously comprises a mains and/or battery electrical-power supply, the one and/or the other preferably being positioned inside the plinth 17.
Advantageously, the support 13 is inclined such that the longitudinal axis X- X' of the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 supported by the support 13 is inclined, for example by an angle comprised between 20° and 70°, preferably between 30° and 45° with respect to the plane defined by the plinth 17. This inclination allows a user of the case 1 to grasp the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 better.
According to one embodiment notably illustrated in Figure 4, the container 5 is modular and comprises at least one module 19 comprising the support 13 for supporting the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3.
In particular, in the embodiment depicted, the container 5 comprises a plurality of modules 19, each module 19 comprising a support 13 for supporting a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3, each module 19 being mounted removably on an adjacent module 19. Each module is, for example, equipped with male and female connectors 21.
A modular container 5 enables a user to purchase only the number of modules 19 necessary for their purposes thus making it possible to offer a customizable case 1.
According to one particular embodiment, the lid 7 is modular and comprises at least one modular lid 7 portion 23 positioned facing a module of the container 5 when the lid 7 is in the closed position PF, each modular lid 7 portion 23 being configured to be mounted removably on another modular lid 7 portion 23.
Thus, a case 1 may comprise an assembly of sub-cases each one consisting of a module 19 of the container 5 and of a modular portion 23 of the lid 7, each sub-case being able to be purchased separately and added in a modular fashion in order to form the case 1.
In one embodiment, the motor 11 is positioned on the container 5, for example near a hinge 25 that connects the lid 7 and the container 5, the motor 11 actuating the hinge 25 to allow the lid 7 to be moved between its open position PO and its closed position PF.
In one particular embodiment, the container 5 comprises a first endplate 27 and a second endplate 29 which endplates are positioned face-to-face at opposite ends of the container 5 so as to define an internal volume 31 of the container 5 in which the module(s) 19 is or are arranged, the first endplate 27 and the second endplate 29 being mounted removably on one of the modules 19.
Advantageously, the motor 11 is positioned on one of either the first endplate 27 or the second endplate 29.
Advantageously, the presence detector 9 is positioned on one of either the first endplate 27 or the second endplate 29.
According to one particularly advantageous embodiment illustrated in Figures 5 and 6, the lid 7 comprises at least one stoppering device 33 configured to apply pressure to a closure cap 35 of said cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 when the lid 7 is in the closed position PF.
The lid 7 may comprise a plurality of stoppering devices 33 for a plurality of cosmetic-product packaging and application devices 3.
The stoppering device 33 makes it possible to guarantee the cosmetic products a long life and above all allows individuals with reduced mobility to be able to restopper the cosmetic-product packaging and application devices 3 without difficulty.
Advantageously, the stoppering device 33 is a mechanical stoppering device and is not dependent on the presence of a motor 11 or not enabling automatic opening or closing of the lid 7.
The stoppering device 33 comprises for example an articulated arm 37, a spring 39 connected to a first end 41 of said articulated arm 37, and a platform 43 fixed to a second end of the articulated arm, the platform 43 being configured to apply pressure to the closure cap 35 of the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3.
In one particular embodiment illustrated in Figure 5, the platform 43 makes it possible to apply pressure to the closure cap 35 of a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 that is already in place in the support 13, in this instance for a lipstick 15. Here, the closure cap 35 is formed by the support 13 and the pressure applied to the closure cap 35 is achieved by means of a rotary knob of the device 3 for the packaging and application of the stick 15 of cosmetic product.
In another particular embodiment illustrated in Figure 6, the platform 43 makes it possible to apply pressure to the closure cap 35 of a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3, said closure cap 35 being fixed to the platform 43. Here, the cosmetic product is, for example, a foundation. When the lid 7 closes, the stoppering device 33 moves the closure cap closer to the cosmetic product in order to close the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3.
Figure 7A depicts a packaging and application device 3 for a cosmetic product of the mascara type, said device 3 comprising, on the one hand, a receptacle 45 for the cosmetic product, open at a neck 47, and, on the other hand, a brush 49 comprising a closure cap 35, the brush 49 being able to be introduced into the receptacle 45 so that the closure cap 35 comes into contact with the neck 47 in order to close the cosmeticproduct packaging and application device 3.
Optionally, the neck 47 comprises an external thread and the closure cap 35 may comprise an internal thread collaborating with the thread of the neck 47.
Figure 7B depicts a support 13 for a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3, for example for the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 illustrated in Figure 7A.
Such a support 13 may for example be positioned in the case 1 described hereinabove in order to house a cosmetic product and facilitate the use thereof by an individual with reduced mobility. In particular, such a support 13 may be positioned in a module 19 of a modular container 5 of said case 1.
In one embodiment, the support 13 comprises a housing 51 defining an internal volume 53 for receiving the device 3 and being provided with an insertion opening 55 for inserting said device 3 into the internal volume 53.
The housing 51 is, for example, of tubular shape and is closed, at an opposite end to the insertion opening, by a base 57.
The support 13 advantageously comprises a support 13 baseplate 59 mounted in the internal volume 53 and configured to support the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 inserted into the internal volume 53.
The support 13 further comprises means 61 for adjusting the distance between the baseplate 59 and the insertion opening 55.
Thus, the height of the baseplate 59 is adjustable, allowing the support 13 to be adapted to suit different sizes of cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3. Such a device 3 can therefore be installed in the support 13 by an operator, or by someone closely associated with an individual with reduced mobility, the height of the baseplate 59 being able to be adjusted at the time of installation. In one particular embodiment, the means 61 for adjusting the distance between the baseplate 59 and the insertion opening 55 comprise an actuating knob 63 connected to the baseplate 59 and accessible from outside the housing 51.
Advantageously, the actuating knob 63 is provided with a screw 65 extending through the base of the housing 51 and connected to the baseplate 59 so as to cause the latter to move translationally as the knob is rotated.
According to one embodiment, the support 13 comprises a membrane 67 made of an elastic material mounted on the housing 51 and comprising a slit 69 (Figure 8) in its centre, the slit 69 being positioned in axial continuity with the insertion opening 55 and configured to hold said cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 that has been passed through the slit 69. In the exemplary embodiment illustrated, the membrane 67 is situated axially beneath the insertion opening 55. Alternatively, the membrane 67 could be situated axially above the insertion opening 55. In another alternative, the membrane 67 could be positioned at the insertion opening 55 or in other words, at the same distance from the baseplate 59 as the insertion opening 55.
The membrane 67 provides transverse retention of the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 that has been passed through it. In addition, the membrane 67 creates friction that minimizes the undesired longitudinal movements of said device 3. The membrane 67 is further able to be adapted to suit different sizes and widths of cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3.
The membrane 67 is for example round and less than 3 millimetres thick.
Advantageously, the slit 69 in the membrane 67 is cruciform, as illustrated in Figure 8.
The membrane 67 thus makes the insertion of a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 into the membrane 67 and the retention of said device therein even easier, notably when the brush 49 is being withdrawn upon use of the cosmetic product. Alternatively, it is still, however, possible to envision other shapes for the slit, for example a rectilinear shape.
In one particular embodiment, the membrane 67 contains silicone.
Figure 7B also illustrates a kit 71 comprising the support 13 described hereinabove and an annular seal 73, also depicted in Figure 7A, configured to be fitted around the neck 47 of the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3, as also illustrated in Figure 7 A. This annular seal 73 allows the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 to be hermetically closed notably after the closure cap 35 has been set down on said annular seal 73 and, for example, as a result of a pressure exerted by the stoppering device 33 described hereinabove when the lid 7 is closed and the support 13 is placed in the case 1 described hereinabove.
If the neck 47 has a thread, the annular seal 73 is also able to cover said thread so that there is no need to perform a rotation and screwing movement in order to reclose the device 3.
Advantageously, the annular seal 73 comprises at least one sealing lip configured to project relative to the neck 47 of said device.
Figures 9A, 9B and 9C depict a packaging and application device 3 for a stick 15 of cosmetic product, said device 3 comprising a casing 75 containing the stick 15 of cosmetic product, and a rotary knob 77 able to rotate with respect to the casing 75 and about the longitudinal axis X-X' of the device 3, the rotary knob being configured so as to allow the stick 15 of cosmetic product to be moved longitudinally between inside and outside the casing 75. The stick 15 of cosmetic product is, for example, a stick 15 of lipstick.
Figures 9A, 9B and 9C more particularly depict a kit 79 comprising the packaging and application device 3 for a stick 15 of cosmetic product and a support 13 for said packaging and application device 3 for a stick 15 of cosmetic product.
The support 13 may for example be positioned in the case 1 described hereinabove in order to house a stick 15 of cosmetic product and facilitate the use thereof by an individual with reduced mobility. In particular, the support 13 or the kit 79 may be positioned in a module 19 of a modular container 5 of said case 1.
The support 13 comprises a housing 81 defining an internal volume 83 for receiving said device and is provided with an insertion opening 85 for inserting said device 3 into the internal volume 83.
The housing 81 also comprises a base 87 facing the insertion opening 85.
The housing 81 comprises at least one internal bulge 89 extending radially towards the inside of the receiving internal volume 83 and delimiting a stop surface 91 for one end of said device 3 inserted into the internal volume 83, particularly one end of the casing 75. In addition, the internal bulge 89 is preferably positioned sufficiently distant from the base 87 that the stick 15 of cosmetic product is able to extend out of the casing 75 without breaking against the base 87.
Thus, the internal volume 83 comprises a first part 93 between the insertion opening 85 and the internal bulge 89, configured to accommodate the device 3, particularly the casing 75, and a second part 95, between the base 87 of the housing 81 and the internal bulge 89, configured to accommodate the stick 15 of cosmetic product extending from inside the device 3 when said stick 15 of cosmetic product is in an extended position.
The housing 81 is moreover configured to allow the rotary knob 77 of the device 3 for the packaging and application of the stick 15 of cosmetic product to extend to outside the internal volume 83.
The internal bulge 89 is, for example, annular.
As a variant, a plurality of internal bulges 89 spaced in the circumferential direction may extend inside the internal volume 83 so as to delimit the stop surface 91.
In one advantageous embodiment, the support 13 comprises an annular seal 97 configured to be positioned axially between the internal bulge or bulges 89 and the device 3 inserted into the internal volume 83. The annular seal 97 makes it possible to increase the area of contact between the support 13 and the device 3 without damaging either of these, and also makes it possible to guarantee sealing favourable to the keeping properties of the stick 15 of cosmetic product.
In one embodiment, the support 13 comprises a motor 99 configured to rotate the housing 81 about the longitudinal axis X-X' of the housing 81, particularly of the device 3 when the latter is positioned in the housing 81.
The motor 99 is, for example, positioned on the housing 81, preferably on the base 87 of the housing 81.
Thus, as a result of friction between the device 3 for the packaging and application of the stick 15 of cosmetic product and the housing 81, notably between the casing 75 and the annular bulge 89 or the annular seal 97, the device 3 for the packaging and application of the stick 15 of cosmetic product is also made to rotate. When the rotary knob 77 is held fixed by a user or by the stoppering device 33 of the lid 7 of the case 1 when the lid 7 is closed, the motor 99 then allows the stick 15 of cosmetic product to be caused to move longitudinally, notably to be caused to extend out from the casing 75. Thus, an individual with reduced mobility can use the stick 15 of cosmetic product without having to perform the manual rotational movement to turn the rotary knob 77.
According to one embodiment, the support 13 comprises a detector 101 for detecting a free end of the stick 15 of cosmetic product when said stick 15 of cosmetic product is extending inside the internal volume 83 of the support 13.
The detector 101 is for example positioned on the housing 81, preferably in the second part 95 of the internal volume 83, or more preferably still, at a distance from the internal bulge 89 that is identical to an optimal distance by which a free end of the stick 15 of cosmetic product extends out from the end of the casing 75.
Advantageously, the detector 101 comprises a photoelectric cell.
Thus, under conditions of use, when the detector 101 does not detect the free end of the stick 15 of cosmetic product, it sends a signal to the motor 99 which will cause the housing 81 to rotate so as to set said stick 15 of cosmetic product in motion and so as bring its free end into alignment with the detector 101.
In an embodiment in which the case 1 as described hereinabove comprises a support 13 for a device 3 for the packaging and application of a stick 15 of cosmetic product, the case 1 preferably comprises a means (not depicted) for causing the motor 99 of the support 13 to rotate when the detector 101 does not detect the free end of the stick 15 of cosmetic product in the internal volume 83 of the support 13 and when the lid 7 is in the closed position PF. In this embodiment, the lid 7 comprises the stoppering device 33 so as to hold the rotary knob 77 fixed.
Figure 9A particularly illustrates a support 13 being subjected to a pressure P, for example from the stoppering device 33, the free end of the stick 15 of cosmetic product extending beyond the detector 101.
Figure 9B then illustrates the rotating of the motor 99 and, therefore, of the housing 81 and of the casing 75 while the rotary knob 77 remains fixed, so as to align the free end of the stick 15 of cosmetic product with the detector 101.
Figure 9C finally illustrates the stopping of the pressure P exerted by the stoppering device 33 and a removal of the device 3 for the packaging and application of the stick 15 of cosmetic product.
An individual with reduced mobility can thus use the stick 15 of cosmetic product without having to unstopper it, having to perform a rotational movement in order to cause the stick 15 of cosmetic product to extend out of the casing 75, and while having a stick 15 of cosmetic product that is extending out to an optimal length, allowing ease of application and ensuring that the stick 15 of cosmetic product does not break.
The case 1 and the supports 13 which have been described hereinabove allow easier presentation of cosmetic-product packaging and application devices 3 and use thereof by individuals with reduced mobility. However, certain individuals still experience difficulties in grasping hold of such devices 3.
Figure 10 depicts one embodiment of a gripper kit 103 for gripping hold of a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3, in this instance a cosmeticproduct packaging and application device 3 as illustrated in Figure 7A.
The gripper kit 103 comprises an attachment element 105 configured to be fixed to said cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3, and a gripper 107 configured to be able to be manipulated by a user, the attachment element 105 and the gripper 107 being able to be secured to one another by magnetic attraction.
Thus, it is possible for an individual with reduced mobility to have a gripper 107 fixed to a part of their body, to move said gripper 107 closer to the attachment element 105 and be able to use the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 3 without having to perform a gripping movement using their digits, this being an action that these individuals with reduced mobility sometimes find impossible.
In one particular embodiment, the gripper 107 comprises a ring 109 that can be positioned around one of a user's digits. Thus, the gripper 107 is discreet and always within reach of the user.
Advantageously, one of either the attachment element 105 or the gripper 107 comprises a metal washer 111, the other comprising a magnet, or an electromagnet 113.
The metal washer 111 in particular contains a magnetic and/or ferromagnetic metal.
As illustrated, the attachment element 105 comprises an electromagnet 113 and the gripper 107 comprises a metal washer 111, for example fixed to the ring 109. The advantage of an electromagnet 113 is that it can be controlled and therefore that it does not constantly attract all the ferromagnetic materials nearby.
Advantageously, the gripper kit 103 comprises a means 115 of remote activation of the electromagnet 113 of the attachment element 105 and/or of the gripper 107. The remote-activation means 115 is, for example, configured to operate the electromagnet 113 of the attachment element 105 and/or of the gripper 107 using radio waves.
In one particular embodiment, the remote-activation means 115 comprises a presence detector, for example the presence detector 9 of the case 1, and/or a button.
Advantageously, the attachment element 105 comprising the electromagnet 113 further comprises a rechargeable battery 117 configured to power said electromagnet 113.
The lid 7 of the case 1 which were described hereinabove advantageously comprises an induction charging system (not depicted) for recharging the electromagnet of the attachment element 105, for example when the lid 7 is in the closed position PF.
Thus, the assembly formed by the gripper kit and the case 1 allows cosmeticproduct packaging and application devices 3 to be presented to and more easily accessed and gripped by individuals with reduced mobility.
Figures 11 and 12 schematically depict a system 151 for the automatic opening and closing of a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 153 (depicted in Figures 13 and 14), also referred to as packaging item 153.
In particular, the system 151 is a system 151 for automatically unscrewing and screwing of a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 153.
In particular, the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 153 comprises a storage receptacle 155 for the cosmetic product and a cap 157 screwed or clipped onto the storage receptacle 155.
The cap comprises a thread able to collaborate with a corresponding thread belonging to the receptacle. What is meant by a "thread" is a thread for screw-fastening or a thread for clip-fastening for attaching the cap to the receptacle by screw-fastening or by clip-fastening.
The cap 157 may, for example, be equipped with an applicator situated inside the storage receptacle 155 in the position in which the cap 157 has been screwed onto the storage receptacle 155. The device 153 may be a device 153 for packaging mascara, or lipstick, or any other device 153 comprising two parts that are intended to be screwed together.
The unscrewing and screwing system 151 comprises an internal housing 159 defining an internal volume 1511 for receiving the storage receptacle 155 of said device 153. The internal housing 159 is also provided with an access opening 1513 for accessing the internal volume 1511.
The system 151 further comprises an external housing 1515 on which the internal housing 159 is mounted with the ability to rotate in both directions of rotation about the longitudinal axis X-X' of the internal housing 159 as will be described in greater detail later. The internal housing 159 is mounted inside the external housing
1515.
The system 151 optionally comprises a plinth 1516 which it can stand. In particular, the external housing 1515 is fixed to the plinth 1516 at an opposite end of the system 151 from the end comprising the access opening 1513, the longitudinal axis X-X' passing through the plinth 1516 and through the access opening 1513.
The system 151 comprises for example a rolling bearing positioned between the internal housing 159 and the external housing 1515 so as to allow one of these to rotate with respect to the other while limiting friction.
The system 151 comprises a motor 1517 for rotating said internal housing 159 via a motorized reduction gearset 1519. The motor 1517 and the motorized reduction gearset 1519 are positioned on the external housing 1515 or mounted on the plinth
1516. More specifically, they are positioned in the space 1520 comprised between the external housing 1515 and the internal housing 159.
The system 151 further comprises retaining means 1521 configured to keep the storage receptacle 155 of the cosmetic-product packaging and application device 153 secured to the internal housing 159 in order to rotate as one therewith when said internal housing 159 rotates. The cap 157 of the device extends axially outside the system 151.
In particular, the retaining means 1521 are configured to keep the storage receptacle 155 of said device 153 secured by friction, preferably with grip, to the internal housing 159 so as to rotate as one therewith.
The internal housing 159 comprises a peripheral wall 1523 radially bounding the internal volume 1511, the retaining means 1521 comprising the peripheral wall 1523. The friction between the peripheral wall 1523 and the storage receptacle 155 generates a friction force that keeps the storage receptacle 155 secured to the internal housing 159 so as to rotate as one therewith.
According to one particular embodiment, the peripheral wall 1523 of the internal housing 159 comprises an elastomer material, preferably elastic, increasing the grip and/or purchase and/or friction between the storage receptacle 155 and the peripheral wall 1523.
In the embodiment illustrated, the retaining means 1521 also comprise at least one membrane 1525 made of an elastic material, supported by the internal housing 159 and positioned in the internal volume 1511, said membrane 1525 comprising a slit 1527 at its centre and through which the storage receptacle 155 of said device 153 can pass.
As a preference, the slit 1527 is cruciform, so that it can adapt to suit cross sections of storage receptacle 155 of any shape, notably round, rectangular, triangular or other shapes, and any size. The cross section of the device 153 depicted in Figure 13 is, for example, rectangular.
In the embodiment illustrated, notably in Figure 12, the retaining means 1521 comprise three membranes 1525 supported by the internal housing 159 and positioned in the internal volume 1511, more specifically arranged so that they are spaced axially away from one another, the slit 1527 in the membrane 1525 situated axially at the end closest to the access opening 1513 having a larger cross section than the slit 1527 in the membrane 1525 situated towards the middle of the internal volume 1511, which itself has a slit 1527 with a larger cross section than the slit in the membrane 1525 at the opposite end from the access opening 1513.
Alternatively, it is possible to provide a different number of membranes 1525, for example just one single membrane or two membranes.
In the embodiment depicted, the internal housing 159 comprises a baseplate 1529 delimiting the bottom of said internal housing 159, a neck 1531 defining the access opening 1513, and at least an intermediate part 1533 situated axially between the baseplate 1529 and the neck 1531. Here, the internal housing 159 is equipped with two intermediate parts 1533.
In an alternative embodiment, the neck 1531 could form part of the external housing 1515 and be fixed with respect to the internal housing 159 formed by the baseplate 1529 and the intermediate part(s) 1533.
In the embodiment illustrated, the baseplate 1529, the intermediate parts 1533 and the neck 1531 are independent elements which are stacked axially and, for example, fixed together by any appropriate means for example by adhesive bonding or clip-fastening. The membranes 1525 may therefore be interposed between each element, particularly respectively between the baseplate 1529 and an intermediate part 1533, between two intermediate parts and/or between an intermediate part 1533 and the neck 1531.
As an alternative, the baseplate 1529, the intermediate part(s) 1533 and the neck 1531 are made as a single one-piece part, the membranes 1525 being, for example, set into the material of the internal housing 159, or fixed by any suitable means, for example by adhesive bonding.
According to one embodiment, the neck 1531, the intermediate part(s) 1533 and the baseplate 1529 each define a cross section of decreasing diameter, the neck 1531 having the largest cross section and the baseplate 1529 defining the smallest cross section. In a preferred embodiment, the peripheral wall 1523 of the internal housing 159, defining the transverse cross sections of the neck 1531, of the intermediate parts 1533 and of the baseplate 1529, has a conical overall shape. The decreasing magnitude of the cross sections means that devices 153 of different diameters can be inserted and held in place while being screwed or unscrewed, wide devices 153 being inserted as far as the neck 1531 or as far as an intermediate part 1533, slender devices 153 being inserted as far as the baseplate 1529.
In one advantageous embodiment, the baseplate 1529 is provided with at least one through-orifice 1535 for removal of said cosmetic product. The orifice 1535 thus makes it possible to create a removal port at the bottom of the internal volume 1511 so that liquid from the packaging device 153 can be removed. A second orifice or an emptiable reservoir may be provided in the external housing 1515 so that said liquid can be completely removed from the system 151. The system 151 can be dismantled and washed in order to clean said system 151 in the event of such incidents.
In the embodiment depicted, the system 151 comprises a contact switch 1537 positioned axially under the baseplate 1529 and configured to send an activation signal to activate rotation of the motor 1517 when an external axial pressure is transmitted to said contact switch 1537 by the deformation and/or movement of the baseplate 1529. In one embodiment, the contact switch 1537 is mounted on the baseplate 1516.
Thus, all the user needs to do is to introduce a device 153 into the internal volume 1511 and apply pressure to it by deforming the bottom of the baseplate 1529 or by causing a translational movement of the baseplate 1529 in order to transmit pressure to the contact switch 1537. As long as this pressure is maintained, the motor 1517 turns and allows the screwing or unscrewing of the device 153. According to one particular embodiment, when two external axial pressures are transmitted to the contact switch 1537 within a short space of time, for example within under a second, the motor 1517 is activated to rotate in an opposite direction of rotation, compared with a single press.
Advantageously, the system 151 comprises a rechargeable battery 1539 positioned in the external housing 1515 to power the motor 1517. More specifically, the battery 1539 positioned in the space comprised between the external housing 1515 and the internal housing 159. In one particular embodiment, the battery 1539 is mounted on the baseplate 1516.
As an alternative, the system 151 comprises a mains power supply and/or charging module.
In one particular embodiment notably depicted in Figure 13, the system 151 comprises a light source 1541 configured to indicate the direction of rotation of the internal housing 159, the light source 1541 being positioned on the external housing 1515. For example, the light source 1541 is a light emitting diode ring positioned on the external surface of the external housing 1515. The light is, for example, green when rotating in the clockwise direction and red when rotating in the anticlockwise direction.
In addition, the system 151 may comprise a button 1543 configured to send an activation signal to activate rotation of the motor 1517 and/or to reverse the direction of rotation of the motor 1517, the button 1543 being positioned on the external housing 1515, as illustrated and/or on a remote control. In this particular embodiment comprising a button 1543, the contact switch 1537 may be omitted.
Thus, when a user is using the system 151, notably to unscrew a device 153 comprising a storage reservoir 155 and a cap 157 screwed onto said storage reservoir 155, said user inserts the storage reservoir 155 as far as it will go into the internal volume 1511 during a first, insertion, step El. The user moreover holds the cap 157 outside the system 151 during a second step E2. By pressing a button 1543 or by the pressure of the device 153 on the contact switch 1537, the motor 1517, and with it the internal housing 159, and the storage reservoir 155 which is held securely on the internal housing 159, begins to rotate in a step E3. The parts that do not start to rotate are the external housing and the cap 157, the latter being kept fixed by the user. After a few moments of rotation of the internal housing 159, the cap 157 becomes unscrewed from the storage receptacle 155 and the motor 1517 can stop its rotation in a step E4, and the cosmetic product can be applied using the applicator supported by the cap 157. Conversely, once the cosmetic product has been applied, it is possible to screw the cap 157 back onto the storage receptacle 155 by returning the latter to the internal volume 1511 and then making the motor 1517 rotate in the opposite direction.
Figure 13 also depicts a kit 1545 comprising a system 151 and a gripper 1547 for gripping a cosmetic-product packaging and application device 153. The gripper 1547 allows a user, particularly a user with reduced mobility, to manipulate the device 153 more easily.
The gripper 1547 consists for example of an endpiece 1549 connected to a band 1551 intended to encircle and support the cap 157 of the cosmetic-product packaging device 153.
As an alternative, the gripper 1547 comprises an endpiece 1549 and a ferromagnetic washer (not depicted) while a magnet is positioned on the device 153, the washer and the magnet being attracted to one another under the effect of a magnetic field.
Another subject of the invention is a case 1553 comprising a container 1555 and a lid 1557, illustrated in Figure 14, the case 1553 being intended to store, in its container 1555, an unscrewing system 151, one or more grippers 1547 and one or more cosmetic-product packaging and application devices 153. Thus, the user, on opening the case 1553, has access to all their cosmetic products and to means of using these, namely the unscrewing system 151 and the gripper 1547.
