Description

A PILL CONTAINER WITH SAFETY LOCK
FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to a pill container with safety lock. Particularly it relates to a pill container having moisture proof safety locking mechanism.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
The pill containers are used to store and dispense the medicine which are typically made of plastic or metal and have a lid that can be opened and closed. These pill containers being often used by the people who take the medicine on the regular basis.
The pill containers are not safe if they are not properly secured. The children can easily access the pills if they are not properly placed. Additionally, pill containers can be stolen, which could result in someone taking someone else's medication.
The current stage for pill containers does not adequately address the safety concerns associated with pill storage. The pill containers are often not childresistant and can be easily opened by children. Further, the available pill containers failed to provide the moisture proof locking mechanism in addition with the safety lock mechanism.
Some of the prior art documents discloses the pill bottles with safety lock. The US patent document US3245563A discloses a safety closure for containers. As per the disclosure, closure comprising an inner cap member; an intermediate sleeve member axially slidable on and rotatably enclosing said inner member; an outer cap member axially slideable on and rotatably enclosing said intermediate member; means on said members for limiting relative sliding movement there between; and engageable and disengageable clutch means on said members operable respectively to disable and enable relative rotation of said members.
Another US patent application 3055524 discloses a safety closure assembly comprising an inner closure having a top portion to cover the mouth of a container and a skirt portion to t over said container immediately adjacent the opening, threads on said inner closure skirt for engagement with complementary threads on the container, an outer shell of a size to receive an inner closure with sufficient clearance to permit relative rotation of the outer shell with respect to the inner closure, means for maintaining the outer shell and inner closure in axial alignment, ratchet teeth in the inner skirt of the outer shell for engagement with complementary ratchet teeth in the outer skirt of the inner closure for engagement to rotate the two with one another in the direction moving into the threads of the container, radial grooves in the top of the inner shell and radial ribs in the bottom surface of the outer shell for engagement with the radial grooves on the inner closure, an upwardly extending dome on said inner closure and a downwardly extending dome on said outer shell to keep the ribs out of the grooves, said domes being in axial alignment and being yieldable under pressure to permit said ribs to engage in said grooves.
The problem associated with the cited prior arts are the locking mechanism provided in that are not so durable and can be easily open. Also, there are chances that the moisture can leak in or out from the bottle in locking situation also. To overcome the above mentioned issues the inventors of the present invention has developed unique pill bottle with safety locking mechanism. It provides a pill container with a safety lock that addresses the safety concerns and moisture issues associated with pill storage. The pill container of the present invention is child-resistant also. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION:
The principle object of the present invention is to overcome all the mentioned and existed drawbacks of the prior arts by providing a pill container with safety lock.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a pill container having moisture proof safety locking mechanism.
