Abstract

Invention patent for a probe used to treat post-operative gastrointestinal fistulas and leaks after oesophageal surgery, oncological and non-oncological gastric surgery such as bariatric surgery, which is easy to insert, as it slides easily through the cricopharyngeus and nasal cavity, and it can be inserted for up to 14 (fourteen) days and easily removed without risk of vascular damage or bleeding. It consists of a transparent polyethylene or silicone tube (4) measuring 14 to 18 French with a torpedo-shaped tip with a small fenestration for the passage of a guide wire (3) up to 0.035mm and covered with surgical gauze (1) and adhesive sterile plastic (2).
