TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention refers to biodegradable cardboard plant pots that are formed by a paper cup forming machine that was converted for producing the cardboard plant pots, to the method of producing these plant, and to the method of converting the standard paper cup forming machine for producing the cardboard plant pots.
BACKGROUND ART
The market longs for pots made of cardboard in general and biodegradable cardboard in particular, but the production methods known today and the machines used to produce such pots are very expensive and include complex and cumbersome processes such as wetting with liquids, creating pulp, and similar actions that make the finished product very expensive. The present invention provides excellent solutions for this problem.

THE INVENTION
The present invention provides a revolutionary method for making biodegradable cardboard plant pot that reflects an incomprehensible change of thinking as to the possible method and machines for making biodegradable cardboard plant pots. The main object of the present invention is to provide a method for making biodegradable cardboard plant pots by converting a paper cup forming machine, which is a machine that is originally designed for making coffee cups from cardboard, to a converted plant-pot forming machine that is designed for making the biodegradable cardboard plant pots, using new processes in the field and at significantly cheaper prices. The first embodiment of the present invention refers to the method for converting a paper cup forming machine (100) to a converted plant pot forming machine (200) that is designed to make biodegradable cardboard plant pots (300), the method comprises the following steps:
(a) Providing and employing the paper cup forming machine (100). The structure of the paper cup forming machine is known, so it is not necessary to detail all the components of the machine, and we will focus on main components in which changes and adjustments of the conversion are made. Figure 1 is a schematic depiction of the paper cup forming machine (100), Figure 2 is a schematic depiction of the converted plant pot forming machine (200), and Figure 3 depicts the biodegradable cardboard plant pots (300).
(b) Providing a plurality of rods (210) and placing them on the converted plant pot forming machine for delimiting a pot- wall sheets input place (211) where the pot-wall sheets (310) are designed to be placed in a size that fits the size of the pot- wall sheets. The paper cup forming machine is originally designed for coffee cups, while the size of the plant pot is significantly larger, so the conversion is done by changing and adjusting the sizes of parts and components in the original machine. In this pot-wall sheets input place (211), a stack of pot- wall sheets (310) is placed, one on top of the other, as is customary in the production of coffee cups, and the converted machine pulls one pot-wall sheet at a time for bending and side welding (sealing). Figure 4 depicts the pot- wall sheets (310), and Figure 5 depicts the plurality of rods (210) and the potwall sheets input place (211).
(c) Providing a cup-side forming cone (220), a pair of bending paws (221), and a cup-side sealing head (222), in a size that fits the size of the pot-wall sheets, and connecting them to the converted machine where the original equivalent components are designed to be connected. The structure of the original machine is known, although we will add explanations for the sake of clarity. The converted machine pulls one pot-wall sheet at a time, places it between the cup side forming cone (which is fixed) and the pair of paws which rotate and attach the pot-wall sheet to the cup side forming cone to a position where the pot-wall sheet takes the conical shape of the cup side forming cone, and then the cup side sealing head moves and tightens to the connection line (320) of the pot-wall sheet at the conical shape and heat-welds the pot-wall sheet that becomes a bottomless pot (330). Figures 6A and 6B depict the cup-side forming cone (220), the pair of bending paws (221), and the cup-side sealing head (222).
(d) Providing a bottom-punching -knife (230) and a bottom-punching -base (231), in a size that fits the size of the bottomless pot, and connecting them to the converted machine where the original equivalent components are designed to be connected. The converted machine pulls one bottomless pot at a time, places it on the bottom-punching -base and fixing to it a bottom (380) of the cardboard plant pot that was cut before by the bottom-punching-knife turns it to a headless pot (340). Figures 7A and 7B depict the bottom-punching-knife (230) and the bottom-punching -base (231).
(e) Providing a cup top curling mold (240) and a port (241) in a size that fits the size of the top opening (350) of the headless pot (340), and connecting it to the converted machine where the original equivalent component is to be connected. The converted machine pulls one headless pot at a time, places it in the port (241) under the cup top curling mold (240) for executing the top curl forming part (360) for completing the forming of the biodegradable cardboard plant pots (300). Figure 8 depicts the cup top curling mold (240).
The second embodiment of the present invention refers to the method for making the biodegradable cardboard plant pots (300) that comprises the following steps: (a) providing the converted plant pot forming machine (200), (b) providing the pot- wall sheets (310) made of a biodegradable cardboard wherein the pot-wall sheets include a plurality of apertures or a plurality of vertical cuts (370) designed to enable water to drain from the biodegradable cardboard plant pots, (c) and making the biodegradable cardboard plant pots according the process as stated above. The third embodiment of the present invention refers to the biodegradable cardboard plant pots (300) that were made from the biodegradable pot-wall sheets by the converted plant pot forming machine (200).
