Description

DESCRIPTION
REAL TIME STOCK TRACKING DEVICE
Technical Field
The invention relates to a real-time stock tracking device that enables tracking stock without loss and without needing manpower in the store and storage business and accessing location information of the product.
The invention is also a new generation smart alarm that is defined for and placed on each product.
It is a real-time stock tracking device that can be used by all business lines that keep stock in their warehouse or have store products and want to access instant information of their current products through the system.
Current State of Art
Tracking the objects is a critical issue in manufacturing factories and stores. These objects may include factory-made products, processed products, factory workers, factory-operated devices, products sold in stores, and the shipped products.
Developing technology has given rise to various needs of factories, stores and transportation units. It is a must to manage supply chain correctly, to make stock tracking accurately, and manage customer relations in the best way in order to survive a competitive environment.
In order to meet these obligations, it is necessary to increase traceability of objects.
In the state of art, there are some systems which enable stock tracking.
In the state of the art, stocktaking operations are made by people with the use of barcode, data matrix or numbering systems. Stock tracking based on barcodes, data matrix or numbers is completely human-based systems that try to extract stock information by counting the products in the warehouses and stores one by one.
Objects that are forgotten, skipped or lost or stolen due to human error may be overlooked in such systems. Counting must be done in a certain time and the objects must be kept under control during these operations.
In such systems, a large number of employees should involve in counting operations in a limited time period and this creates an important workload. The planned stocktaking date must be waited for stock information to be obtained.
In the state of art, the products called RFID tags can also be used in the stock counting operations.
Stock counting with RFID Tag is superior to stock tracking based on the use of standard barcode and manpower because it is a system that requires less manpower thanks to hand terminals.
RFID tags bring a financial burden per product because they are disposable and cannot be reused.
In order to use RFID tags for stocktaking, a high-cost antenna system must be installed.
These systems give rise to need using hand terminals that can read barcodes from a maximum of 15 meters.
In stock tracking systems based on RFID tags in the state of art, the products stacked on top of each other may sometimes be undercounted because some of them can’t be read properly.
Stock tracking systems based on RFID tags in the state of art do not allow unplanned stocktaking at any time. In order to reach stock count, the whole warehouse and store area must be scanned and counted. Stock tracking systems based on RFID tags in the state of art also require use of significant amount of manpower. This makes the system open to skipping, forgetting, mistakes and losses.
One of the shortcomings of systems used in the state of art is that the product cannot be located in the warehouse or storage area.
Above-mentioned disadvantages and inadequacy of existing solutions have made necessary to develop the real-time stock tracking device, which is the subject of the invention.
Brief Description of Invention
Present invention relates to the real-time stock tracking system that meets above- mentioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages.
The primary purpose of the invention is to provide real-time stock tracking. Our invention enables obtaining live and error-free stock information, indoor and outdoor location information instantly. Real-time stock tracking is made to reach indoor and outdoor location information.
The aim of invention is to act as a door security alarm for lost and theft situations.
The aim of the invention is to provide opportunity to use it repeatedly. This cannot be achieved in systems based on barcode and RFID.
An aim of the invention is to read desired information of the objects without needing contact. This cannot be achieved in systems used in the current state of art.
One aim of the invention is to count all objects in seconds at any time.
An object of the invention is to eliminate restrictions of reading distance of objects. In the invention, the reading can be made at any place on the network to which the device is connected. One aim of the invention is to work with stock management applications defined as ERP in the current state of the art.
One aim of the invention is to eliminate human error factor. Stock is tracked instantly by devices installed within scope of the system.
The invention does not require instruments such as antenna and handset used in the current state of the art.
All data obtained with the invention can be transferred to Cloud databases as meaningful data. Desired data can be transferred from device to the Cloud.
Invention can locate desired device by sounding the alarm of that device instantly.
The invention can immediately sound the alarm of an object that goes out of a certain area. This area is the wifi network to which the devices are connected.
Structural characteristics and all advantages of invention can be understood well over below mentioned figures and detailed descriptions referring to these figures. Therefore, the final assessment should be made by taking all these figures and detailed description into consideration.
