Definitions
- the present invention relates to a load and/or person handling machine.
- a load and/or person handling machine comprising a so-called rolling self-propelled chassis equipped with front and rear wheels for its movement on the ground, a load and/or person handling system carried by said chassis, at least one lighting device and a drive control for movement of the self-propelled chassis positionable at a distance from the chassis, the self-propelled chassis, which develops longitudinally from the front towards the rear of the chassis, comprising on at least one of its lateral sides, taken in relation to the front/rear direction of the chassis, at least one technical compartment and a closing cover of said technical compartment mounted movably between an open position and a closed position.
- a load and/or person handling machine equipped with a technical compartment and lighting devices is known as illustrated in documents US 2018/265340 and US 2018/362313.
- Such a lighting device can equip the basket with a lifting platform as illustrated in document US 2013/187785. Due to their costs, the time slot for using these machines is increasing and it is now common to use such handling machines at night. The difficulty is, for an operator, to control such a machine while moving at night, in particular when the machine is controlled from a control positioned remotely from the chassis of the machine.
- One aim of the invention is to propose a handling machine of the aforementioned type whose design allows optimal use of the machine, particularly at night, or when climatic conditions reduce visibility.
- the subject of the invention is a machine for handling loads and/or people, said machine comprising a self-propelled chassis called a rolling chassis equipped with front and rear wheels for its movement on the ground, a system for handling load and/or person carried by said chassis, at least one device lighting and a drive control for movement of the self-propelled chassis positionable at a distance from the chassis, the self-propelled chassis which develops longitudinally from the front towards the rear of the chassis comprising on at least one of its lateral sides, taken relative to the front/rear direction of the chassis, at least one technical compartment and a closing cover of said technical compartment mounted movably between an open position and a closed position, characterized in that the or at least one of the devices lighting of the machine is mounted on the closing hood of the or at least one of the technical compartments, and in that said lighting device is configured to, in the closed position of the hood, illuminate part of the space located behind the front wheels taken in relation to the front/rear direction of the chassis, and, in the open position
- the presence of a lighting device on the hood and its design make it possible to facilitate driving remotely from the chassis of the machine and the maintenance of said machine.
- the design of the lighting device makes it possible, by illuminating the part behind the front wheels when the hood is closed, to help guide the rear wheels, particularly when such a machine must be brought onto a loading ramp. equipping a transport vehicle with said machine.
- This design of the lighting device allows, in the open state of the cover, to intervene on technical components, such as actuators, conventionally housed inside the technical compartment without having to have additional lighting.
- the lighting device comprises a strip of light-emitting diodes.
- At least part of the lighting device is fixed by a tab to said cover.
- the closing cover is, for its movable mounting between an open position and a closed position, a pivoting cover mounted movable to pivot around a so-called longitudinal axis extending along the front/rear steering of the chassis.
- the movement drive control of the self-propelled chassis in the state positioned at a distance from the chassis, has at least one configuration in which it is mounted on the load and/or person handling system carried by said chassis.
- the load and/or person handling system carried by said chassis comprises at least one lifting arm coupled at one of its ends to the chassis and carrying, at its opposite end, a basket inside which an operator is able to take place, and the drive control for moving the self-propelled chassis has, in the state positioned at a distance from the chassis, at least one configuration in which it is coupled said basket.
- the movement drive control of the self-propelled chassis is a remote control with a radius of action relative to the chassis at least equal to two meters.
- FIG. 1 represents a % front perspective view of a machine conforming to the invention in the closed state of the cover of the technical compartment;
- FIG. 2 represents a perspective view taken from the front of a machine conforming to the invention in the closed state of the cover of the technical compartment;
- FIG. 3 represents a schematic view of the cover and the lighting device associated with the closed state of the cover
- FIG. 4 represents a % front perspective view of a machine conforming to the invention in the open state of the cover of the technical compartment;
- FIG. 5 represents a perspective view, taken from the front, of a machine conforming to the invention, in the open state of the cover of the technical compartment;
- FIG. 6 represents a schematic view of the hood and the lighting device associated with the open state of the hood.
- the subject of the invention is a machine 1 for handling loads and/or people, which may conform to that shown for example in Figure 1.
- This load and/or person handling machine 1 can exclusively allow load handling or exclusively person handling or both, depending on its design.
- This machine 1 comprises a rolling chassis 2 with a front part and a rear part.
- the front and rear parts of this chassis are taken in relation to the direction of advancement of chassis 2.
- this chassis 2 is equipped with two front wheels 3 arranged at the front part of the chassis 2 and two rear wheels 4 arranged at the rear part of the chassis 2.
- This chassis 2 is equipped with a motor group for driving the movement of the machine by rotating the wheels of the machine.
- This power unit will not be described, because it is well known to those skilled in this art, and its design is of little importance in the present invention.
- the handling machine 1 also includes a system 5 for handling loads and/or people carried by the chassis 2.
- the load and/or person handling system 5 carried by the chassis 2 comprises at least one lifting arm 51 coupled at one of its ends to the chassis 2 and carrying at its opposite end a basket 52 inside which an operator can take a seat.
- a basket allows the handling of people and possibly loads.
- the basket can be replaced by a bucket, handling forks or any other accessory allowing only load handling.
- the lifting arm 51 is a pivoting arm pivotally mounted around a so-called horizontal axis, parallel to the plane of support on the ground of the wheels of the machine in the positioned state of the machine on a flat ground horizontal.
- the lifting arm 51 is thus mounted movable to pivot between a low position close to the ground and a high position away from the ground.
- the chassis 2 develops longitudinally from the front towards the rear of the chassis 2 and the lifting arm 51 extends along this longitudinal axis.
- the motor group described above can allow the actuation of one or more pumps assisting in the operation of actuators, such as cylinders, driving the movement of the lifting arm 51. Again, such operation will not be described, because it is well known to those skilled in this art.
- the machine 1 also includes a control 6 for driving the movement of the self-propelled chassis 2, positionable at a distance from the chassis 2.
- This control 6 can take the form of a console or control console, as in the example represented.
- Control members such as levers, buttons, joysticks or others equip such a control 6 and in particular allow the driving control of movement on the ground of the chassis 2 by driving the wheels in rotation.
- This control 6, which allows movement of the chassis 2 to be controlled remotely from the chassis 2, can be positioned in the basket 52.
- control 6 for driving the movement of the self-propelled chassis 2 can have at least one configuration in which it is mounted on the load handling system 5 and/or or person carried by the chassis 2.
- this control 6 for driving movement of the self-propelled chassis 2 can present, in the state positioned at a distance from the chassis 2, at least one configuration in which it is coupled to the basket 52.
- This control 6 can also be a remote control operable by an operator on the ground, as illustrated in Figure 2.
- the control 6 for driving the movement of the self-propelled chassis can be a remote control with a radius d action relative to the chassis 2, preferably at least equal to two meters.
- Chassis 2 can be additionally equipped with a pilot's cabin inside which an operator can take a seat.
- the self-propelled chassis 2 comprises, on at least one of its lateral or side flanks 7, that is to say the part of the chassis which extends from the front part towards the rear part of the chassis 2, at least one technical compartment 8.
- a technical compartment 8 can be provided at each side 7, as in the example shown, or at only one of the lateral sides 7 of the machine.
- This technical compartment 8 houses for example the motor unit, pumps or others.
- the interior of the technical compartment 8 is accessible through a side opening closed by a cover 9.
- This closing cover 9 is, in the examples shown, a pivoting cover mounted movable to pivot around a so-called longitudinal axis XX', extending in the front/rear direction of the chassis 2 between an open position and a closed position.
- this closing cover 9 During its pivoting movement to move from the closed position to the open position, this closing cover 9 is pivoted upwards. An operator therefore positions himself under the closing cover 9 to be able to work on elements placed in the technical compartment 8.
- the machine 1 further comprises one or more lighting devices, at least one of which, shown at 10 in the figures, is mounted on the closing cover 9 of the or at least one, preferably, of each 8 technical compartments.
- This lighting device 10 is configured to, in the closed position of the cover 9, illuminate a part of the space 11 arranged behind the front wheels 3 taken with respect to the front/rear direction of the chassis 2 and, in open position, illuminate the interior of technical compartment 8.
- the lighting device 10 comprises a strip of light-emitting diodes. At least part of the lighting device 10 is fixed by a tab 12 to the cover 9, as illustrated schematically in Figures 3 and 6.
- this lighting device 10 also makes it possible to intervene on the machine 1 in the middle of the night, at the level of the or one of the technical compartments 8, without the need for additional lighting to visualize the interior of said technical compartment 8.
