Abstract

The present invention relates to a system (1) for suggesting routes to vehicle drivers where they can meet their resting, sleep and nutritional needs by controlling their sleep, physical activity, nutritional data –which are obtained by means of smart devices they use such as mobile phones, smart bracelets, watches– before the vehicle use (driving).

Description

A SYSTEM FOR SUGGESTING A NEW ROUTE ACCORDING TO PHYSICAL CONDITIONS OF USERS
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a system for suggesting routes to vehicle drivers where they can meet their resting, sleep and nutritional needs by controlling their sleep, physical activity, nutritional data -which are obtained by means of smart devices they use such as mobile phones, smart bracelets, watches- before the vehicle use (driving).
Background of the Invention
Today, there is a substantial increase in the emerging traffic accidents. One of the most important reasons for the said traffic accidents is driver inattention which occurs due to factors such as insomnia, hunger or fatigue.
In the state of the art, there are systems whereby drivers are warned or directed by determining their fatigue and attention levels during vehicle use. However, only the conditions of drivers during the vehicle use are analysed in the said systems and since their condition data are not examined except for the vehicle use such as before drive, drawbacks that may occur later and suddenly cannot be avoided.
Therefore, considering the studies and the deficiencies included in the state of art, it is understood that there is need for a system for suggesting routes to vehicle drivers where they can meet their resting, sleep and nutritional needs by controlling their the sleep, physical activity, nutritional data before the vehicle use. The Chinese patent document no. CN108099601, an application included in the state of the art, discloses a system which has a human body information collecting module and whereby a new and safe route is created and then shared with the driver by using navigation in the event of a fatigue driving condition of the driver upon the driver’s physiological information obtained are analysed. The system also has a human body information collecting module which is configured to collect physiological data of a human body such as blood pressure, electrocardio, sudden move, breathing pattern, skin sweat, blinking, head action index, etc. and can be positioned in a wristband, steering wheel and car seat; a vehicle information collecting module which is configured to collect data of vehicle driving speed and vehicle driving track; a vehicle control module which is configured to control the vehicle driving speed and driving direction; a navigation module which is configured to plan a driving route for the vehicle; a detecting system which is configured to warn a tired driver through sound or vibration by monitoring the human body fatigue state in real time during the driving process. The said invention also creates a new route to a more proper/safer route and/or parking spot by using a smart route navigation system and notifies it to the driver who is detected to be tired by processing the data received from the driver.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a system which is developed in order to determine sleep, physical activity, nutritional routine of vehicle drivers by obtaining their sleep, physical activity, nutritional data except for vehicle use by means of smart devices such as mobile phone, smart bracelet, watch they use and then analysing the said data.
Another objective of the present invention is to realize a system which enables to control whether drivers’ sleep, physical activity and nutritional condition is out of their routine or not by analysing the drivers’ sleep, physical activity and nutritional data prior to a certain period of time before that moment, as soon as they opens the navigation application in the vehicle and if it is detected that the data of sleep, physical activity and nutritional condition are out of their routine, to suggest routes to the drivers where they can meet their resting, sleep or nutritional needs.
Detailed Description of the Invention
The “system for suggesting a new route according to physical conditions of users” realized to fulfil the objective of the present invention is shown in the figure attached, in which:

The inventive system (1) for suggesting routes to vehicle drivers where they can meet their resting, sleep and nutritional needs by controlling their sleep, physical activity, nutritional data before the vehicle use comprises: at least one electronic device (2) which is configured to realize data exchange by using any communication protocol; to obtain data such as physical activity, usage time of screen, sleep duration, time and nutritional data related to users and then keep record of and/or share the said data; at least one vehicle computer (3) which is positioned inside the vehicle and is configured to access and keep record of information about vehicle use such as starting, shutting down the vehicle and whether a driver is located in the vehicle or not; and enables users to get navigation service by entering at least one location information by means of an interface provided and to view the suggestions presented to them such as a new route suggestion; and at least one processor (4) which operates on the vehicle computer (3) and is configured to establish communication with the electronic device (2) by using any communication protocol and to realize data exchange; to receive sleep, physical activity, nutritional data related to the vehicle driver over the communication established with the electronic device (2) by being triggered periodically and if it detects that the driver does not drive the vehicle by controlling the information of whether the driver is located in the vehicle or not over the vehicle computer (3), to analyse the said data and to determine a sleep, nutritional and activity routine for the moments when the vehicle driver does not drive; to receive the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver for a certain period of time before vehicle use from the electronic device (2), by being triggered when the driver starts driving and the vehicle computer (3) is activated and then to control whether the said data are out of the routine or not; if it detects that the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver match the routine values, to transmit all routes -that are created for the target location entered by the driver over the vehicle computer (3)- to the vehicle computer (3) so as to be presented as a suggestion; if it detects that the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver are out of the routine, to determine the routes where the driver can meet his/her resting, sleep and food & beverage needs by controlling the routes created for the target location entered by the driver and to transmit the said routes to the vehicle computer (3) so as to be presented as a suggestion.
The electronic device (2) included in the inventive system (1) is a device capable of collecting and recording data such as sleep hours, physical activity, calorie intake about users, in the form of a smartphone, tablet computer, smart watch, smart bracelet and/or wearable device. The said electronic device (2) is configured to establish communication with remote servers by using any remote and/or near-field communication protocol and to realize data exchange. In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the electronic device (2) is configured to establish communication with the processor (4) located on the vehicle computer (3) and to transmit the sleep, physical activity, nutritional data collected about the vehicle driver to the processor (4).
The vehicle computer (3) included in the inventive system (1) is positioned in any location where driver and/or passengers can access inside the vehicle and is configured to establish communication with remote servers by means of the processor (4) located on thereof and to realize data exchange.
In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the vehicle computer (3) is configured to enable users to get navigation service by selecting at least one starting location and target location. The said vehicle computer (3) is configured to provide at least one interface adapted such that it will enable users to select a target location and to view the routes created from the starting location to the target location. The said vehicle computer (3) is configured to provide at least one interface adapted such that it will enable users to select one of the route suggestions presented to them and to follow the created route on a map. In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the vehicle computer (3) is configured to enable the users to view the specific route suggestions determined by the processor (4).
The processor (4) included in the inventive system (1) operates on the vehicle computer (3) and it is configured to process and analyze the data obtained over the vehicle computer (3). The said processor (4) is configured to establish communication with the electronic device (2) by using any communication protocol and to realize data exchange. The processor (4) is configured to receive sleep, physical activity, nutritional data related to the vehicle driver over the communication established with the electronic device (2) by being triggered periodically and if it detects that the driver does not drive the vehicle by controlling the information of whether the driver is located in the vehicle or not over the vehicle computer (3), to analyse the said data and to determine a sleep, nutritional and activity routine for the moments when the vehicle driver does not drive. The processor (4) is configured to receive the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver for a certain period of time before vehicle use from the electronic device (2), by being triggered when the driver starts driving and the vehicle computer (3) is activated and then to control whether the said data are out of the routine or not. The processor (4) is configured to transmit all routes -that are created for the target location entered by the driver over the vehicle computer (3)- to the vehicle computer (3) so as to be presented as a suggestion, if it detects that the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver prior to a certain period of time before driving match the routine values. The said processor (4) is configured to control the routes created for the target location entered by the driver and then to control whether the routes is a route that may cause a problem for the sleeping status, physical activity or nutritional status detected to be out of the driver’ s routine or not, if it detects that the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver prior to a certain period of time before driving are out of the routine. The processor (4) is configured to trigger the vehicle computer (3) in order to ensure that the said routes are presented to the driver as a suggestion, if it detects that there is no route that may cause a problem for the detected sleeping status, physical activity or nutritional status of the driver, among the routes determined for the target location entered by the driver. The processor (4) is configured to determine at least one route where there is restaurant or cafe and the driver can meet his/her nutritional needs such as food/drink, the driver can meet his/her resting and sleep needs and that has accommodation facility for the driver among the related routes and to trigger the vehicle computer (3) in order to ensure that the determined routes are presented to the driver as a suggestion, if it detects that there is a route that may cause a problem for the detected sleeping status, physical activity or nutritional status of the driver, among the routes determined for the target location entered by the driver. In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the processor (4) is configured to ensure that the information of the determined suggestion routes are transmitted to the persons, who are saved by the driver previously, over a communication way such as e-mail and/or short message.
Industrial Application of the Invention
In the inventive system (1), a sleep, physical activity, nutritional routine is determined for a registered vehicle driver by periodically receiving his/her sleep, physical activity, nutritional data which are recorded in devices such as smart watch, mobile device and which are valid when s/he is not driving. In the system (1), the current sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of a driver are analysed for a certain period of time when the driver gets into the vehicle and before the driver gets into the vehicle when the vehicle computer (3) is activated and it is determined whether the said data are in the routine of the driver or not. If it is detected that the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of a driver prior to a certain period of time before s/he gets into the vehicle are out of his/her routine, it is ensured that routes where the driver can meet his/her sleep, resting and nutritional needs are presented as a suggestion for the target location entered by him/her over the vehicle computer (3).
Within these basic concepts; it is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive “system for suggesting a new route according to physical conditions of users (1)”; the invention cannot be limited to examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to claims.

Claims

1. A system (1) for suggesting routes to vehicle drivers where they can meet their resting, sleep and nutritional needs by controlling their sleep, physical activity, nutritional data before the vehicle use; comprising at least one electronic device (2) which is configured to realize data exchange by using any communication protocol; to obtain data such as physical activity, usage time of screen, sleep duration, time and nutritional data related to users and then keep record of and/or share the said data; and characterized by at least one vehicle computer (3) which is positioned inside the vehicle and is configured to access and keep record of information about vehicle use such as starting, shutting down the vehicle and whether a driver is located in the vehicle or not; and enables users to get navigation service by entering at least one location information by means of an interface provided and to view the suggestions presented to them such as a new route suggestion; and at least one processor (4) which operates on the vehicle computer (3) and is configured to establish communication with the electronic device (2) by using any communication protocol and to realize data exchange; to receive sleep, physical activity, nutritional data related to the vehicle driver over the communication established with the electronic device (2) by being triggered periodically and if it detects that the driver does not drive the vehicle by controlling the information of whether the driver is located in the vehicle or not over the vehicle computer (3), to analyse the said data and to determine a sleep, nutritional and activity routine for the moments when the vehicle driver does not drive; to receive the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver for a certain period of time before vehicle use from the electronic device (2), by being triggered when the driver starts driving and the vehicle computer (3) is activated and then to control whether the said data are out of the routine or not; if it detects that the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver match the routine values, to transmit all routes -that are created for the target location entered by the driver over the vehicle computer (3)- to the vehicle computer (3) so as to be presented as a suggestion; if it detects that the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver are out of the routine, to determine the routes where the driver can meet his/her resting, sleep and food & beverage needs by controlling the routes created for the target location entered by the driver and to transmit the said routes to the vehicle computer (3) so as to be presented as a suggestion. A system (1) according to Claim 1; characterized by the electronic device (2) which is a device capable of collecting and recording data such as sleep hours, physical activity, calorie intake about users, in the form of a smartphone, tablet computer, smart watch, smart bracelet and/or wearable device. A system (1) according to Claim 1 or 2; characterized by the electronic device (2) which is configured to establish communication with remote servers by using any remote and/or near-field communication protocol and to realize data exchange. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the electronic device (2) which is configured to establish communication with the processor (4) located on the vehicle computer (3) and to transmit the sleep, physical activity, nutritional data collected about the vehicle driver to the processor (4). A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle computer (3) which is positioned in any location where driver and/or passengers can access inside the vehicle and is configured to establish communication with remote servers by means of the processor (4) located on thereof and to realize data exchange. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle computer (3) which is configured to enable users to get navigation service by selecting at least one starting location and target location. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle computer (3) which is configured to provide at least one interface adapted such that it will enable users to select a target location and to view the routes created from the starting location to the target location. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle computer (3) which is configured to provide at least one interface adapted such that it will enable users to select one of the route suggestions presented to them and to follow the created route on a map. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle computer (3) which is configured to enable the users to view the specific route suggestions determined by the processor (4). A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processor (4) which operates on the vehicle computer (3) and is configured to process and analyze the data obtained over the vehicle computer (3).
11. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processor (4) which is configured to establish communication with the electronic device (2) by using any communication protocol and to realize data exchange.

A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processor (4) which is configured to receive sleep, physical activity, nutritional data related to the vehicle driver over the communication established with the electronic device (2) by being triggered periodically and if it detects that the driver does not drive the vehicle by controlling the information of whether the driver is located in the vehicle or not over the vehicle computer (3), to analyse the said data and to determine a sleep, nutritional and activity routine for the moments when the vehicle driver does not drive.

A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processor (4) which is configured to receive the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver for a certain period of time before vehicle use from the electronic device (2), by being triggered when the driver starts driving and the vehicle computer (3) is activated and then to control whether the said data are out of the routine or not.

A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processor (4) which is configured to transmit all routes -that are created for the target location entered by the driver over the vehicle computer (3)- to the vehicle computer (3) so as to be presented as a suggestion, if it detects that the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver prior to a certain period of time before driving match the routine values.

A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processor (4) which is configured to control the routes created for the target location entered by the driver and then to control whether the routes is a route that may cause a problem for the sleeping status, physical activity or nutritional status detected to be out of the driver’s routine or not, if it detects that the sleep, physical activity and nutritional data of the driver prior to a certain period of time before driving are out of the routine. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processor (4) which is configured to trigger the vehicle computer (3) in order to ensure that the said routes are presented to the driver as a suggestion, if it detects that there is no route that may cause a problem for the detected sleeping status, physical activity or nutritional status of the driver, among the routes determined for the target location entered by the driver. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processor (4) which is configured to determine at least one route where there is restaurant or cafe and the driver can meet his/her nutritional needs such as food/drink, the driver can meet his/her resting and sleep needs and that has accommodation facility for the driver among the related routes and to trigger the vehicle computer (3) in order to ensure that the determined routes are presented to the driver as a suggestion, if it detects that there is a route that may cause a problem for the detected sleeping status, physical activity or nutritional status of the driver, among the routes determined for the target location entered by the driver. A system (1) according to any of the preceding claims; characterized by the processor (4) which is configured to ensure that the information of the determined suggestion routes are transmitted to the persons, who are saved by the driver previously, over a communication way such as e-mail and/or short message.
