蓄電デバイスは、任意で、電解液を含み得る。電解液は、例えば、非水系溶媒に支持電解質を溶解させた溶液等が挙げられる。
攪拌機、温度計、還流冷却管、窒素ガス導入管および3つの滴下ロートを備えた反応装置に、イオン交換水733.6g、50%アクリルアミド100g(40モル%)、80%アクリル酸47.5g(30モル%)、アクリロニトリル28.0g(30モル%)を入れた。窒素ガスを通じて反応系内の酸素を除去した後、55℃まで昇温した。そこに2,2’-アゾビス-2-アミジノプロパン 二塩酸塩(日宝化学株式会社製 製品名「NC-32P」)0.116g(0.1質量%)、イオン交換水5gを投入し、80℃まで昇温し3時間反応を行った。
次いで、2,2’-アゾビス-2-アミジノプロパン 二塩酸塩(日宝化学株式会社製 製品名「NC-32P」)1.16g(1質量%)を投入し、80℃で2時間反応を行い、蓄電デバイスバインダー水溶液を製造した。
撹拌機、温度計、還流冷却管、窒素ガス導入管を備えた反応装置に、イオン交換水100g、メタノール100g、3-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン(信越化学株式会社製 製品名「KBM-903」)200gを入れて25℃で0.5時間反応を行い、縮合度1.4、重量平均分子量160のポリアルコキシシランの加水分解部分縮合物を含む均一な水溶液を得た。

蓄電デバイスバインダー水溶液をポリプロピレン製平板の表面上に塗布し、オーブン中で重量が恒量となるまで120℃で加熱し、残留物である蓄電デバイスバインダー水溶液の不揮発分を得た。得られた不揮発分を縦50mm、横20mm、膜厚50μmのサイズに成形し、蓄電デバイスバインダー水溶液の不揮発分からなる成形膜を作製した。
作製した成形膜の破断強度を、万能試験機(株式会社 島津製作所製、AGX-V)を使用し、50mm/分の引張速度で測定した。

(1-1)製造(蓄電デバイス電極スラリー)
市販の自転公転ミキサー(製品名「あわとり練太郎」、シンキー(株)製)を用い、該ミキサー専用の容器に、実施例で得られた蓄電デバイスバインダー水溶液を不揮発分換算で7質量部と、D50が5μmの一酸化ケイ素粒子を50質量部と、天然黒鉛(伊藤黒鉛工業株式会社製 製品名「Z-5F」)を50質量部とを混合した。そこにイオン交換水を不揮発分濃度40%となるように加えて、当該容器を上記ミキサーにセットした。次いで、2000rpmで10分間混練後、1分間脱泡を行い、蓄電デバイス電極スラリーを得た。
銅箔からなる集電体の表面に、上記蓄電デバイス電極スラリーを、乾燥後の膜厚が25μmとなるようにドクターブレード法によって均一に塗布し、80℃で30分乾燥後、100℃で60分間加熱処理して電極を得た。その後、膜(電極活物質層)の密度が1.2g/cm3になるようにロールプレス機によりプレス加工することにより、電極を得た。
アルゴン置換されたグローブボックス内で、上記電極を直径16mmに打ち抜き成形したものを、2極式コインセル(宝泉株式会社製、商品名「HSフラットセル」)上に載置した。次いで、直径24mmに打ち抜いたポリプロピレン製多孔膜からなるセパレータ(CS TECH CO., LTD製、商品名「Selion P2010」)を載置し、さらに、空気が入らないように電解液を500μL注入した後、市販の金属リチウム箔を16mmに打ち抜き成形したものを載置し、前記2極式コインセルの外装ボディーをネジで閉めて封止することにより、蓄電デバイス(リチウムハーフセル)を組み立てた。ここで使用した電解液は、エチレンカーボネート/ジメチルカーボネート=3/7(体積比)の溶媒に、LiPF6を1モル/Lの濃度で溶解した溶液である。
リチウムハーフセルを25℃の恒温槽に入れ、定電流(0.1C)にて充電を開始し、電圧が0.01Vになった時点で充電完了(カットオフ)とした。次いで、定電流(0.1C)にて放電を開始し、電圧が1.0Vになった時点を放電完了(カットオフ)とする充放電を30回繰り返した。
なお、上記測定条件において「1C」は、ある一定の電気容量を有するセルを定電流放電して1時間で放電終了となる電流値を意味する。例えば「0.1C」は、10時間かけて放電終了となる電流値のことであり、「10C」とは0.1時間かけて放電完了となる電流値のことを意味する。
充放電サイクル試験を室温(25℃)で行った際の、初回充電容量(mAh)および初回放電容量(mAh)の値より、初回クーロン効率を下記式によって求めた。

実施例で得られた蓄電デバイスバインダー水溶液を不揮発分換算で5質量部と、水113質量部を撹拌混合し、非導電性粒子としてベーマイト(平均粒径0.8μm)を100質量部加え、ホモジナイザー(IKA社製 T25 digital ULTRA-TURRAX)で15000rpm 60分間、分散撹拌させた。さらにイオン交換水を加えて粘度を調整し、蓄電デバイスセパレータスラリーを製造した。
幅250mm、長さ200mm、厚さ6μmの湿式法により製造された単層ポリエチレン製セパレータ基材(PE基材)を用意した。上記蓄電デバイスセパレータスラリーをセパレータの一方の面上に、乾燥後の厚みが3.0μmになるようにグラビアコーターを用いて塗工、乾燥し、蓄電デバイスセパレータを得た。
上記(1-3)製造(蓄電デバイス)において、上記で製造したセパレータに変えたことを除き、同様の手法により蓄電デバイスを製造した。
